It’s a beautifully crafted game. I was not a survival game person, but this game made me change my mind. Please don’t expect super fancy combats in this game, just play and enjoy the journey.

Проходняк который я не прошел из-за СКУЧНЕЙШЕГО и однообразного геймплея, сюжет не перекрывает этот минус

I reached for A Plague Tale Innocence mainly because the game takes place in medieval times, and I'm a big enthusiast of anything set in it. The plague theme really fit into 14th century France, and the story drew me in immediately. Each of the characters (with maybe the exception of the Mother) is really well written and stands out from the rest, the game is also not afraid to get rid of them in a violent way while we manage to get attached to them, which I consider a big plus. Unfortunately my final opinion was diminished by the finale, in my opinion it was completely absurd and crudely ended several of the interestingly promising storylines.
As for the gameplay, it is based mainly on sneaking and dodging the multitude of rats trying to devour us. There are also occasional puzzles and combat. While the puzzles, although not among the most difficult, shooting with a slingshot at the heads of subsequent guards is not one of the most enjoyable activities, it is definitely more pleasant to use it to overcome successive obstacles preventing us from going further. The game includes minimalist character development consisting in upgrading the equipment Amicia has at her disposal. However, it doesn't make much sense because the initial upgrades don't give us much of an advantage, and those that might seem interesting we either get so late that we won't be able to use them, or we won't manage to get them at all in the first playthrough, and since the game is definitely story-driven I don't see the point in going through the game a second time in the new game plus mode. Although the developers didn't have too big a budget, the graphics in the game are done really well and don't differ from AAA titles from a similar period, but you have to remember that the game is very straightforward and we won't see huge open areas here, most of the action takes place after dusk, which can also cleverly hide shortcomings.
To sum up, the game has a solid storyline worth getting acquainted with, and although the gameplay may not be one of the most enjoyable, it does not hinder us from getting to know the plot, and it also has its better moments. The game is definitely worth attention especially for players who, like me, like the climate of medieval times.

The game has redeeming qualities, especially the visuals.

But there is very little here that I enjoy. The gameplay is painfully repetitive, the story is predictable and the characters are very shallow. The story feels generic and is not very believable. I will finish it, as I have two chapters left, but it has been a slog from the start.

Good narrative, good story. Very bad IA of enemies and gameplay in general. Awesome optimization and visuals of the enviorment. You cant use your brain!

This title does a lot right. The world building and visuals are immersing. I found the story somewhat predictable and some sequences repetitive and frustrating. Apart from a few issues, a solid entry.

    Pros:

    The level design is great.

    The story is fine

    The graphics are decent

    Cons:

I am personally not a fan of younger children as characters with the exception of Clementine in The Walking Dead, there's nothing I relate to with them and I find them obnoxious.

The combat can feel scripted as there's only one or two ways to deal with an enemy.

Great voice acting and visuals but Incomplete gameplay, boring level design in general, simplicity of puzzles and insufficient boss battles prevent the game from being special for me.

Plague Tales are my favourite games of all time. From someone who has played 35+ story games including RDR2, both Norse GOD of Wars, horizon zero dawn, all three Assassins creed RPGs etc. Great presentation and the most heartfelt and emotional story with the most beautifully written, acted and designed characters I've experienced.

Also I consider these survival games rather than stealth games

Very good and immerse story. The difficulty of the game-play was just perfect for me too.

The storyline is gripping and often times tense and suspenseful. The combat is top-notch and the puzzle elements are deceptively challenging. Great storytelling, fun, short, casual. Rare thing to see such a good combination. Like a stripped-down Lara Croft.

It's unlikely Innocence will lead to an epidemic of similarly snappy games, but we'd love this particular contagion to catch on. [Issue#341, p.116]

We’ve got another outstanding adventure game. It’s not without technical flaws, but delivers a pleasant impression. Perhaps the next game of the studio will become a real gem.

A Plague Tale: Innocence makes a commendable effort to mask its somewhat routine gameplay, and in the end, it wins you over with captivating atmosphere, great music, likeable main characters and nice visuals. If you like cinematic games, this stroll through Dark Ages is worth it.
