    This game is another proof that great game does not need to be developed by a huge team with countless budget. The game has good story with setting in medieval France, beautiful graphics and excellent voice acting. This game is an impressive achievement by small developer. If you like good story driven game you should check out this title. You won't be disappointed.

    Good story if not terribly clichéd. The gameplay is where it falls short, becoming a tedious trial and error exercise which ultimately takes much of the sheen off the overall experience.

    Favorite Thing: I really liked the story and it went a bit crazier than I expected.
    Least Favorite Thing: Hugo. Didn't much like having to play as him either.

    This game isn't perfect, but it gets pretty damn close to it. The story is unique, the graphics are gorgeous and each place you visit is amazing. The characters are well fleshed and quite likable. The whole game is packed with feels ranging from disgust and sorrow to happiness and serenity.

    My only complain here is that the combat was a bit clunky but you don't have to do a lot of it    This game isn't perfect, but it gets pretty damn close to it. The story is unique, the graphics are gorgeous and each place you visit is amazing. The characters are well fleshed and quite likable. The whole game is packed with feels ranging from disgust and sorrow to happiness and serenity.

    My only complain here is that the combat was a bit clunky but you don't have to do a lot of it anyway. Most of the time you'll spend sneaking around.

    Another thing worth mentioning is that this is 45 bucks on Steam. It is a bit pricey, but I believe this is very strong contender for game of the year.    … Expand

Но "A PLAGUE TALE: INNOCENCE" - сильно отличается от ААА пустышек. Эта игра просто прекрасная, приятные живые персонажи, неплохой сюжет и очень красивый артдирекшен и графика. Эта игра словно бриллиант, среди подделок.Сейчас очень мало хороших игр, большинство современных ААА игр - ужасные песочницы, с однообразным геймплеем, примитивным сюжетом и пустыми персонажами, с глупыми шутками.     Juego muy vistoso. Buen apartado gráfico con una ambientación sobresaliente. Esto junto con la historia son sus puntos fuertes. Por lo demás me ha dejado algo frío. Es un videojuego tremendamente simple en su desarrollo y mecánicas, puzzles facilones y a veces algo tediosos, a un paso de ser un walking simulator. Las mejoras en el equipo y habilidades del personaje prácticamente no tienenJuego muy vistoso. Buen apartado gráfico con una ambientación sobresaliente.     Haven't player the whole way through yet. But can say that the story, gameplay and mechanics are way ahead of other recent AAA games. After being disappointed by Rage 2, this was a breath of fresh air.

    Perfect single player, story, thrilling game with extraordinary soundtrack and surroudings. Good feeling was interrupted only at the end of the game by hard boss and enemies (in quantity). But, worth for playing! 9/10

    For an Indie game visuals are good enough. Story is ok but a bit boring at places. Most memorable elements are rats and overall environments and atmosphere. Some of the characters are really memorable as well. Overall it’s a pretty solid experience.

    It was a really good experience with good visuals and a very sensitive narrative, but the duration of the game in some point near the end breaks the mood of the gameplay thinking about where is the end. The puzzles and the stealh mix of gameplay works but a less lineal approach would have been more ejoyable to the player.

    I really wanted to find out how the story ended so this game has cost me some sleep.. And now I know and I will probably never play it again. There's no difficulty setting and no real choices, so replay-value is zero to none.

    Still some ways into the game now, but I can't help but be held spellbound by the immersive experience this game provides. No doubt the story this game tells is by far the best I've seen in any recent game, but the game-play... Hmm? It ain't bad, but I think it could've been better.     First 70% of the game are very nice, 9/10! But next 30% and final are peace of **** 2/10 ... I very dissapointed by this game in the ending... Rats rats rats, and nothing more... Average: 5/10

    I loved this game and their characters... the graphics are beautiful, the gameplay mechanics are a fine a lot of stealth and some puzzles & shooting with a slingshot using different types of ammo.The most important thing in this game is the story and Asobo made a really good one .
    The relation between Amicia & Hugo is really nice.     A quite ambitious game for what it is, and i can say that it meets most of what it tries to achieve. Its a beautiful game to look at, its has a great atmosphere, intriguing story, fairly interesting characters, but like many other games that of Plague Tale's nature that have come out in last decade, it somewhat struggles in remembering that it needs to provide a gameplay experience withA quite ambitious game for what it is, and i can say that it meets most of what it tries to achieve. Its a beautiful game to look at, its has a great atmosphere, intriguing story, fairly interesting characters, but like many other games that of Plague Tale's nature that have come out in last decade, it somewhat struggles in remembering that it needs to provide a gameplay experience with reasonable depth, and rather chases the all too common linear, ''cinematic'' game trend instead with a rather basic gameplay approach. But, thankfully, its still many miles away from being a glorified walking/cutscene simulator.

    There are some combat gameplay mechanics, but they come down just to the sling, which uses auto lock on, and the evasion mechanics which allow you to take out certain enemies. Beyond the combat, there are the puzzles that dont require much brain work, made even easier by the developers by using the hand holdy white paint trope, to make it painfully obvious how they should be tackled, the paint cant be turned off sadly, but to be honest a few of the puzzles can be somewhat enjoyable. Then there is stealth, over reliant on the ''hiding in the tall grass'' gimmick thats so prevalent across this generation's games that involve stealth gameplay, aswell as using throwable objects to distract guards and other enemies. Though it can be interesting as you sometimes need to evade enemies not just by your self, but also with Hugo, Amicia's brother, it can get a bit tense at those times. At times youre also encouraged to explore the game world when youre not in danger and travel through more open areas. The huge amount of rats on screen not just looks impressive from a technical and visual stand point, but also is interesting to interact with during gameplay. Its pretty fun through out the game to use the light as a counter measure against the rats and to see how they scramble.

    As you play the game, you can tell that the developers really were passionate with its development, with devs themselves being french, its not suprising of course. There is a lot of attention to detail put into recreating the medieval french setting and making it feel believable. You visit and go through plenty of gorgeous looking places and environments, aswell as locations that show off that life back in those times was far from sunshine and roses.

    Story was kinda interesting, with the whole deal surrounding the plague and how Amicia's and Hugo's family is directly tied to it. With Amicia being from a royal like family, having been raised and kept in a relatively safe environment, it was engrossing to observe how Amicia adapts and evolves as she is forced into a dire situation, with her previous life suddenly collapsing, and having to take care of her little brother in a world that has gone to utter sh*t. You meet some reasonably compelling side characters as you play, few of whom will join your party of misfits. The antagonists in the game however didnt feel that enticing to me, they felt rather cliche. That also translated into the boss battles where you face them, they didnt feel all that exciting, final boss fight, especially, got on my nerves. While not necessarily tied to story side of qualities, the english voice acting was prettty well done across the board, especially for Amicia and Hugo.

    The game has a healthy length, it runs well if you have a somewhat decent PC and in the end i can say that i surely had a good time with it, its a very good game, just shy of greatness in my opinion.    … Expand

Amicia is able to craft these potions on the go while upgrading her weapon and equipment only at the crafting table found throughout each section of game.

    What story? Great. 5/5 ☑
    Beautifully romanticized tale of evil versus good which is accompanied by great fully voiced performances, new characters giving it the proper spice of feel for believability. It spans to 1349 over the course of chapters towards the end. Game has got real fantasy features, like bloodthirsty rats, secret magic and seems to be set in realistic world. Details of pictures and symbols on the walls are also serving the story purpose, collectibles adding up to the educational level towards historical and factual grounds.

    Game play? Great. 4.5/5 ☑
    3rd person view. Female protagonist. More than a dozen of linear chapters with side roads for achievements and collectibles. There is so much loot all the time, essentially making each situation solvable. Puzzles are rather easy, in any case you have got enough time to think of them, no pressure. Enemies are mostly pretty passive or walking predictable paths with various options to distract or eliminate them. In case of disturbing enemies, there is fast action and movement required. There is no pacifist approach to most situations, making you lose the innocence in the process. However, Amicia leading her brother is teaching him something useful as well. Your inventory items and their respective recipes are being unlocked as you proceed, they are limited by maximum amount which can be improved by crafting bigger backpacks.

    Re playability? Good. 3/5 ☑
    I was looking under each stone besides the first chapter, while avoiding dangers I missed 11 achievements. I could find more flowers, gifts and even more peculiarities. To collect them all might be the reason to play the second time because otherwise the story and approach would be the same, unless maybe taking out more enemies and discovering interesting side stories.

    Graphics? Nice. 5/5 ☑
    Colorful and shadowy environments contrast each other. Sometimes blurry, sometimes very sharp. Daylight giving you chills, nighttime feeding you horrors. The stories are also much more lighthearted once the sun is up, stumbling across the dark areas filled with more scruples to overcome.

    Music? 5/5 ☑
    It is rather dynamic, emotional, mostly in the melancholic background, supporting storytelling and indicating something happening during moments.

    Hardware requirements? Mid range. ☑
    It ran very smooth and probably even lower range gaming PCs might run this.

    How difficult? Easy. ☑ Normal. ☑

    How long? 10-19 hours. ☑

    Verdict
    9/10 Approachable adventure with kids and rich fantasy story with curses, easy puzzles requiring a little bit of patience, your companions will indicate solutions for you, linear world reminded me of Metro Last Light, enough space for running around and collecting interesting objects, beautiful atmosphere, smooth performance.    … Expand

    i liked this game for the very dense atmosphere and the character development. it feels like a realistic sibling story. and you can also make use of running around together hand in hand gameplay-wise. graphics are awesome for an indie title. switch to french with your favorite subtitles on for an even more immersive game.

    The graphics are just as good as they were advertised. The characters were made with a great deal of attention to every minuscule detail.

    What a great narrative experience this game was. I loved every minute of this game and you can tell this was created with lots of TLC. Some of my favorite moments has to do with being strategic with your moves as well as with your supplies.     -Story was deep and emotional. You get really attached to these characters.
    -Musical score was great. It really brought out the moments of sadness, dread, happiness, and shock.
    -Game mechanics were easy to learn and adapt
    -Upgrade system for your sling/tools/pouch was simple and effective
    -Voice acting was fantastic.

    I got this on a sale so it was well worth it but I would even say that at full price you're getting your moneys worth. Very happy with how this game turned out and I look forward to more projects from this studio.    … Expand

The game is basicly a 9 hour (yes, ONLY 9 HOURS) interactive story / tunnel run with "click e to open door" and "shoot x by pressing xx" from start to finish. There is a single straight path through all the chapters, with no exploration what so ever. And the character development is just "your pouch now carries 4 more shots" type of thing, while you will never have any use for added components, or other upgrades. You can easily finish the game without any upgrades done.

    Also the game is extremely easy. Puzzles are like "push cart into the wall", "move xx to xx". While the game actually says what you need to do.

    I get it that some people might enjoy the story but for me personally it was just plain stupid. The story starts as very promising and realistic tale of plague in middleage europe, but very quickly evolves into very very stupid one with fantasy elements.

    Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY THIS FOR FULL PRICE. Get it for free (like it is now on Epic) or from some major discount, and be mindful that it is just a bland tunnelrun with rather stupid story that lasts for only 9 HOURS.    … Expand

    Une production AA au top, pour un "si petit jeu" il place la barre haute.
    Quand t'es déçu par des AAA au budget outrageant, ce jeu est une fraîcheur.
    Rien d'absolument extrêmementz novateur, mais parfaitement jouable, beau et intéressant, sans gros défaut.
    Moi qui suis plutôt blasé des jeux, j'ai été surpris par ce titre

    No es muy rebuscado en las mecánicas, mayormente de sigilo, que aporta o en los puzzles que habrá que resolver, no siempre con una única salida pero siempre accesible.
    El gameplay entretiene pero, no hay que confundirse, el punto fuerte del juego está en la historia y en la capacidad del jugador para empatizar con la misma. Y ya que es de lo que va el juego, es en lo que se basa principalmente MI calificación personal.

    Personalmente, el final por un segundo me hizo pensar que algo estaba faltando por contar, no se si fue a causa de un (¿intencional?) cruce de miradas entre dos personajes o qué, pero deja con ganas de una secuela o al menos uno o dos capítulos mas en DLC para resolver ciertas cosas que creo que pueden quedar dando vueltas en la cabeza de uno luego del final.    … Expand

    This is no action game however, gameplay leans more towards stealth and crafting (very interesting) items, topped off with unique puzzles. Good: + Story: near the end I was in true mantears + Graphics + Voice acting: among the best I've ever seen + Music:    Absolute Masterpiece. Story wise easily on par with The Last of Us and God of War if you like these kind of emotional stories.

    Great visuals, story and soundtrack, but they messed up the gameplay a little. First of all, it's repetative. Yes, the developers tried to add new mechanics as the story goes on by giving the player some new toys, but the problem is - it's all about throwing different stuff at different objects, that's it. No puzzles, no weapons except of Amicia's sling, no interesting interactions withGreat visuals, story and soundtrack, but they messed up the gameplay a little. First of all, it's repetative. Yes, the developers tried to add new mechanics as the story goes on by giving the player some new toys, but the problem is - it's all about throwing different stuff at different objects, that's it. No puzzles, no weapons except of Amicia's sling, no interesting interactions with companions and the worst of all - closer to the end they turned it into a bad action game. This part is not that long, but it's really frustrating because of how aiming works. Since it's meant for consoles, you have auto aim, so it's not challenging at all. Well, sometimes it is, but not because it requires some skill, but because mentioned auto aim decides to drop it's target sometimes, and if it happens, the game counts it as a missed shot even though the stone flies right through the enemie's head. It doesn't spoil the game completely as the plot is still great, but it harms the overall experience.
    It doesn't mean that pure stealth sections are flawless though. The guards are, guess what, blind and partially deaf. When you roam thorough high grass that doesn't cover you at all and make a lot of noise and even whisper, one have to be a legendary retard to not spot you, it just breaks the immersion.
    The other annoying thing is resources and how the need of them interrupts storytelling sometimes. Like you have a pretty dramatic scene, but you ruin it yourself by running all around like an idiot trying to find another piece of leather, great.

    So, yeah, in the end it feels like you have to dig through average and sometimes annoying gameplay just to get a new portion of well written story. With that good graphics, sound and script It could have been a really good interactive movie, but we got what we got.

    I'd give it it 7.5, but since I have to chose between yellow 7 and green 8, I'll give it 8.    … Expand

    Funny game, a bit "easy" since in sometimes the IA is tr*sh and the gameplay is a bit bored. After that visual graphics is amazing, the voice of characters too and immersion pretty well. Recomended for those who want to enjoy a story and not focus on the gameplay

Sobre a trilha sonora e efeitos especiais também diria que foram muito bem feitos, como também o som dos ratos que acaba dando até um certo desconforto de se ouvir, aposto que essa era a inteção hahaha. E algo que me impressionou muito foi a ótima otimização do jogo, fiquei impressionado como eles conseguiram colocar TANTOS ratos em tela, se movendo sem que sofrêssemos com LAG, simplesmente incrível.     - Головоломки. Они по началу выглядят многообещающе, но в отличии от остальных игр, в этой чем дальше ты продвигаешься в сюжете, тем легче головоломки и это небольшой минус.
    - Баги. я встретил их всего два раза, но встретил же. Ой ну да больше минусов нет, я не знаю к чему докопаться поэтому - баги. Но в целом для игры которую делало 40 человек баги простительны.

    Good graphics, somewhat good story, but with clichés. Too bad it has some crappy design and gameplay decisions, like the clumsy combat system and the enemy range, especially the rats, which in the final battle ruined my experience.

Some cheesy twists, artificial limitations (a bit too linear for my tastes) and minor problems being it down, but this is very close to being a good game worth picking up by nearly everyone.     The game itself is great, but as gamepass game it absolutely must have "play anywhere" enabled. What is the problem with that?

    Excellent voice acting with a compelling story thats beautifully presented in a believable and realistic way. Its very linear, so no open world to go out and explore. But this has enabled the developers to hand craft every scene and interaction in a way that an open world game can only do in a half baked way.     An amazing game. An intriguing time period during the plague which doesn't get much attention in video games, the story and atmosphere in this are absolutely amazing. The relationship between a brother and sister and the others they meet a long the way add so much to the characters, and the locations in the game are brilliant. Game play is good enough and has some interesting mechanics,An amazing game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Only played for 10 minutes. by that time it
    1) Seemed like a generic console game
    2) Had some pretty nice graphics
    3) Misrepresented medieval history. Characters weren't believable.
    4) Had a cliché scene where the main character's dog dies
    5) Had a close-up shot of a cross which I hope wasn't a religious signalling thing.

    I should really give this another chance, but for now it gets a mediocre score for mediocre first impressions.    … Expand

    There are game of 2019 from bigger studios that run worst than this game, the ambient is beautifull, runs like charm on ultra with a 1050ti.
    The story was pretty good and unique from my perspective, just the animations and the voice acting dont match cuz the animations are based on the original dialogs in french.

    We got good story, interesting setting and cool atmosphere of France at 1300s. But also we got bad gameplay. I can't play in this game. Developer just take ALL bad thing that can be in gameplay and mix it. Better watch it on youtube or somewhere else. 7/10 and only becouse of atmosphere.
    It's good like movie but bad like game.

    Incredible game. Cool new concept for gameplay, the story is really good, and it's defenitily a great game that went below the radar because it's from a small studio and it isn't the typical action game. It's slow paced, but interesting, it doesn't get boring. Worth a buy.

    This game has astonishing graphics, a great soundtrack, a nice gameplay. Recommend for players which like immersive games. The mid-end of game get a little lost in terms of history and gameplay: the puzzles and rats challenges gets very odd and the history doesnt close very well, but fits. I give it a 8.0 Great.

    I went into this blind. A great surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Amicia and Hugo, great voice actors and animations. Good to see a game of this calibre from a smaller studio. It looks amazing too and I believe on their own engine.

    this game lost 5 hours of my progress from 6 chapter to 11 because windows defender block saving file in documents folder even though prior to chapter 6 game saved properly. had to drop this piece of **** of a game

    A plague tale: Innocence es una aventura cinemática y lineal con mucho en común con grandes nombres de la industria como The Last of us. El principal fuerte de este tipo de juegos es su historia, aunque en este caso el apartado técnico, sin ser un triple A, es tambien excelente. Nos entregan un producto perfectamente pulido en cuanto a acabado y optimización. Totalmente disfrutable, sinA plague tale: Innocence es una aventura cinemática y lineal con mucho en común con grandes nombres de la industria como The Last of us. El principal fuerte de este tipo de juegos es su historia, aunque en este caso el apartado técnico, sin ser un triple A, es tambien excelente. Nos entregan un producto perfectamente pulido en cuanto a acabado y optimización. Totalmente disfrutable, sin errores, de principio a fin. Con un bello y detallado apartado gráfico que muestra la Edad Media francesa con todo detalle, y un control sencillo e intuitivo que implementa mecánicas muy cuidadas en las que sobresale el sigilo, la resolución de puzzles y un testimonial combate que será de utilidad solo en contadas ocasiones, puesto que pelear contra caballeros pesados con armadura, siendo una muchacha adolescente, no es precisamente realista.

    El juego se centra en Amicia, una joven noble que vive feliz en su chateau con sus padres, un señor feudal de bajo rango, pero con tierras y vasallos a su cargo, su madre, una eminente médico y alquimista y su joven hermano Hugo, enfermo de un extraño mal del que no saben practicamente nada, al menos en apariencia. Un día, soldados de la inquisición hacen aparición en su casa y matan a todos, la madre le encarga a Amicia que se lleve a Hugo y lo proteja hasta llegar a la casa de un alquimista que le dirá que es lo que tiene que hacer. La inquisición tiene interés en el chaval y no dejará de perseguirlo hasta haberlo apresado. Aqui, pues, comenzará nuestra aventura en pos de la cura del chaval. En el camino conoceremos a nuestros aliados y enemigos y la oscura motivación de estos últimos.

    Mención especial merecen los ‘combates’, por llamarlos de algún modo, con las ratas. Los efectos de las oleadas de ratas que lo infestan todo es espectacular. Como se mueven al unísono,pareciendo un verdadero mar negro, los cientos de pares de ojos rojos que brillan en la oscuridad al acecho de que abandones la luz para devorarte sin remilgos y los ingeniosos puzzles que el juego propone para librarse de ellas o bien utilizarlas como aliadas involuntarias.

    Si te gustan los juegos cinemáticos, con una historia de película detrás, A Plague Tale: Innocence es un buen candidato para pasar un fin de semana muy entretenido. Su duración, entre las 12 y 14 horas que nos ha llevado a nosotros es más que suficiente para este tipo de juegos. Además disfrutarás de un juego con una calidad de triple A sin serlo, con un acabado gráfico impecable y un control pulido y con mecánicas variadas. Recomendado. A por la segunda parte.    … Expand

    A Plague Tale: Innocence makes a commendable effort to mask its somewhat routine gameplay, and in the end, it wins you over with captivating atmosphere, great music, likeable main characters and nice visuals. If you like cinematic games, this stroll through Dark Ages is worth it.
