    Great and very dark story set in a medieval plague era. Very good mechanics, although the graphics was a little bit blurry for me even on ultra settings.

    in this game everything is awesome, graphics, plot, gameplay. The only problem I noticed was linearity, but who needs an open world in 2020? The plot is perfect. The most important thing is the atmosphere, here it is on the level of a stalker or a subway. I advise everyone to go through this masterpiece.

    Exciting and great game! The narrative and atmosphere are perfect here. The gameplay is truly interesting and graphics immerse the player completely. I sincerely wait for the sequel!

    La historia del juego me gustó, el uso de la iluminación y la potencia del motor grafico para renderizar muchas ratas es increible. La ambintación en la edad media es excelente. El desarrollo del personaje principal Alicia es bueno a pesar de no poseer extra poderes, pero se ve como con el tiempo va mejorando y pierde el miedo. Lo unico negativo que veo es la baja resolución de losLa historia del juego me gustó, el uso de la iluminación y la potencia del motor grafico para renderizar muchas ratas es increible.     This is how you write characters, dialogue, story and voice acting. Avoiding cliché's, and I can remember even the most minor characters i barely encountered in this game with more clarity than the protagonists of some triple A titles I've played. The music is stunning and feels fresh.

    A Plague Tale: Innocence is one of the best story-driven games I've played in a while. It mainly focuses on the stealth and puzzle-solving aspect, telling a rich and beautiful story about a young woman, Amicia, and her little brother, Hugo. Both trying to survive after their parents got murdered. Their story progresses smoothly and it's divided into chapters.

    Pros: + Amazing story +    A Plague Tale: Innocence is one of the best story-driven games I've played in a while. It mainly focuses on the stealth and puzzle-solving aspect, telling a rich and beautiful story about a young woman, Amicia, and her little brother, Hugo.     Pros:
    + Amazing story
    + Stealth is impressive
    + Realistic, yet fantastic at the same time
    + Beautiful Graphics
    + If you've played The Last of Us, you'll like this one

    Cons:
    - There aren't any things to complain about or make remarks about, this game requires much more attention

    Overall the story and the game itself it's a gem and it deserves the praise and the love from those who have played it. I can't stress this enough how important it is for those who read this review and actually give it a shot. It's 15 hours of straightforward gameplay, a linear game that focuses on the story and it does a formidable job.

    Without a doubt, it's a game I wait for a sequel and gets a clean 10/10 from me from the experience it gave. Amazing job done by all who've worked on the game.    … Expand

    В последнее время не хватало таких игр как A Plague tale. Все пытаются в открытые миры и если честно они надоедают. Во время прохождения игры получил массу удовольствия именно из-за атмосферы и визуала игры.

    I don't mind how this game was not the game of the year.

    The game starts off really well. The narrative and plot are good and it holds throughout the entire game, the characters and the main character are also good. The dubbing is very good (I played in English but it has a French accent, the accent is good in dubbing). The gameplay didn't please me, but also not so problematic to mess up the game, it doesn't scale well the same as theThe game starts off really well. Сюжет довольно недурственный, но в концовке всё скатывается в какой то лишний экшен и ожидание драматичной концовки с гнетущей атмосферой безнадёжности, которая тянется на протяжении всей игры, заканчивается геройским файтом из марвел. Но эта игра цепляет своей атмосферой, музыкой и каким никаким стелсом.Игра относится к 2 эшелону игрового строя, так что требовать от неё стоит немного. Сюжет довольно недурственный, но в концовке всё скатывается в какой то лишний экшен и ожидание драматичной концовки с гнетущей атмосферой безнадёжности, которая тянется на протяжении всей игры, заканчивается геройским файтом из марвел. Но эта игра цепляет своей атмосферой, музыкой и каким никаким стелсом. Первая игра для меня, которая завязана исключительно на стелсе, пусть он и примитивен, но геймплей ощущается приятно. Несмотря на все её очевидные плюсы, эта игра для меня точно не вытягивает на балл 8, я стараюсь объективно оценить эту игру, осматриваясь на мой background, в какое колличество я игр переиграл и хороших и плохих, данная игра не может войти в мой своеобразный топ20 игр, но готов признать, что эта игра хороша и для людей которые вообще не играли в игры и для заядлых геймеров, но назвать её востребованной нельзя. Неторопливое введение в сюжет, отсутствие динамичных геймплейных фишек, оттолкнёт современного геймера, но для человека, которому важна история, проникновенная атмосфера и невероятное музыкальное сопровождение он нашёл себе идеальную игру. В общем всё резюмируя, моя оценка 7, крепкая и уверенная, оценка 8 или даже 9 была бы если бы эта игра была для меня первой, советую обязательно ознакомиться с данной игрой, она достаточно быстро проходится, а скоротать пару вечеров в данную игру сам бог велел… Expand

I played through 27 total hours, but never noticed since I had a lot of fun.     Very interesting story! Its compelling and fascinating. The gameplay is good, but the story is what really kept me playing. A bit too much sneaking around for my liking, but it had enough change in gameplay throughout that I didnt mind too much.

    This is a full escort game. Being escort missions usually the worse idea in a game, this time is not that bad. They made a kind of clever companions and implemented several mechanics where the escorted ones complement the player and add some abilities.

    Maybe the best of the game is its superb graphics. Especially the characters that have a lot of details: scars, wounds, dirt, ... and those change over time. this makes feel them like real humans not like a Vogue portrait character like 99% of the games.    … Expand

    Lo bueno: buena ambientación, buenos personajes y narrativa. Unos gráficos de infarto y una muy buena música y dirección de arte.

    f you watched movies a lot you can spoil the game for yourself so easily there is some good graphic in game but the walking simulator is max pain pes2 v copy it could be better. The puzzles was a such unthinkable cliché that but some of them was pretty good actually something that carry this game was the cut sine and way that game take you to the situation

    Конечно, сама идея борьбы детей против системы себя изжила, но произведение получилось весьма целостным, самобытным. Если сравнивать его с приключением с элементами геймплея - я бы сравнил с Сенуей. Если    Жестокая (хотя можно было и жестче), но очень красивая и добрая игра. Сюжет вполне предсказуем, концовка весьма эпична. Очень атмосферно воссоздано средневековье чумных времён.
    Конечно, сама идея борьбы детей против системы себя изжила, но произведение получилось весьма целостным, самобытным. Если сравнивать его с приключением с элементами геймплея - я бы сравнил с Сенуей. Если понравилась Сенуа - эта зайдёт не меньше, а то и больше, поскольку разнообразия тут побольше, хоть и нет той психоделической составляющей. Что за бред, когда ты прячешься в высокую траву и мимо в метре проходит охранник, ну он слепой или как? И постоянное выучивание маршрутов врагов... В общем я видимо привык к реализьму в таких вещах. Как бы не говорю ничего о том что там пацан крысамт управляет. Это как раз понятно,Интересный сюжет и тематика, но скучные сами миссии. Если это стелс игра, то я наверно просто не люблю такое.     Решение раздать эту игру бесплатно было верно, ведь если бы это не было сделано, то множество людей не познакомились со столь замечательной игрой.
    То что хочется похвалить: Графика, сеттинг, сюжет и геймплей(От него я ожидал намного меньшего. Но я удивился тому как он постоянно меняется, разнообразие методов убийства и другое делает геймплей крайне крутым и разнообразным).

    Dari awal sampai akhir, a plague tale innocence mempunyai suasana yang sangat bagus, tema, musik, dan grafis sangat mendukung hal tersebut. Dari segi gameplay, kebanyakan cuma jalan dan stealth saja, ada beberapa boss battle yang membuatnya tidak terlalu monoton. Untuk cerita, pada awalnya lumayan bagus, tetapi lama kelamaan bisa dibilang ceritanya makin tidak logis.

    Handlung:
    In A Plague Tale Innocence geht es um die beiden Geschwister Amicia und Hugo. Zusammen versuchen sie vor der Inquisition zu fliehen. Das Spiel spielt im düsteren 14. Jahrhundert und handelt teils von der Pest in Frankreich. Hugo leidet seit seiner Geburt an einer Krankheit. Die Mutter der beiden versucht durch Alchemie die Krankheit von Hugo zu heilen. Im Verlauf des Spiels trifft man auf Verbündete die einem durch die feurigen und krabbeligen Passagen helfen.

    Gameplay(Controller):
    Das Gameplay holt einen schnell ab. Man hat kaum Probleme und weiß welche Aktion auf welchem Knopf folgt. Die Charaktere machen das was man ihnen vorgibt. Während des Spiels kann man Gegenstände einsammeln. Die Kameraposition ist größtenteils perfekt. Das HUD ist schnell zu verstehen und drängt sich nicht in den Vordergrund.
    Selbst das Verbessern von Gegenständen wie Tasche oder Schleuder versteht man ohne Probleme.
    Bugs oder Probleme sind nicht aufgetaucht.

    Sound:
    Die von Olivier Deriviere komponierten Soundtracks zu A Plague Tale Innocence passen zu dem Spielstil. Sie sind Individuell zu den Situationen die man während des Spiels durchläuft.

    Grafik:
    Die Grafik ist für das Spiel passend gewählt. Es passt sich dem 14. Jahrhundert an und kommt keineswegs Falsch rüber. Die Charaktere passen sich der Umgebung an und wirken nicht deplatziert.

    Fazit:
    Geschwister Single-Story-Adventure Spiel Feurige Passagen und krabbelige Rätsel im Stil des 14.Jahrhundert. Sound und Grafik passen. Das Ende fühlte sich ziemlich überrumpelnd an und man hat das Gefühl, dass das Spiel schnell sein Ende finden sollte. Das Ende war nicht perfekt dennoch ist das Spiel zu empfehlen. 100% Run ist für mich nicht relevant.    … Expand

    Juegazo en todos los sentido es increíble lo bueno que es lo disfrute de principio a fin, muy recomendado si quieres jugar algo con historia como sufrí en la misión final jaja.

    Визуал 9/10

    Эта игра с точки зрения визуала просто прекрасна, каждая локация будь это замок или поле битвы сделаны на высшем уровне. Прекрасно передана эпоха тех времен. Также отмечу прекрасные кат сцены. Из плохого очень маленький пул противников 4-5 скинов на всю игру протяженность которой +10 часов.

    Звук 8/10

    Звуковое сопровождение на протяжение всего прохождения не было просто песенкой на фоне, оно великолепно дополняло атмосферу.

    Сюжет 7.5/10

    Сюжет же не является чем-то сверх интересным, но вкупе с визуалом он заставляет переживать за героев. Но побег Хьюго является вершиной абсурда на протяжении всей игры.

    Лвл Дизайн 8/10

    Множество локаций начиная стелсом с классическим броском камней заканчивая погоней разъяренного противника за героями. Но из-за геймплея очень линейны.

    И вот та самая ахиллесова пята A Plague Tale: Innocence. Из-за геймплея игра не стала шедевром игровой индустрии. При вполне неплохой прокачки и большим выбором снарядов для пращи. А также не забывая о способностях напарников героя перед тобой должен открыться огромный мир вариантов убийств врагов. Но ты не можешь их использовать. Вся игра это интерактивное кино, где ты по скрипту выполняешь все что тебе говорит большой брат разработчик, только в двух-трех локациях под конец игры ты можешь по своему желанию выбрать как убить противников. Во всех других локациях ты "играешь" по инструкции. PS Брал игру бесплатно в Epic Store.    … Expand

    My partner played this game in 2021 and completed it, I helped her with a few sections and even though I had also planned to play this game at some point, I did not have an idea of when that would actually be. Fast forward to the beginning of 2022 and I decided to finally scratch this one off the list, especially knowing that a sequel is due to arrive later in the year.

Fast forward to the beginning of 2022 and I decided to finally scratch this one off the list, especially knowing that a sequel is due to arrive later in the year.

    Story - The plot itself is interesting enough to pull you along, the land of France has been infested with a plague of rats and it is about a Sister and Brother who has their world, their home and their family torn upside down due to this which leads to a fight for survival. What really sells me is the relationship between Amicia and Hugo, Sister and Brother, their relationship growth is rather predictable but I loved these two together and I wanted nothing more than to ensure Amicia protected Hugo. You also run into other characters as you go and a lot of them are very likable, even though some got more development then others, because it was so hard to find characters that Amicia and Hugo could trust, latching onto these guys was very easy. Again, the overall plot is all good, but the absolute winner is the characters, especially Amicia and Hugo.

    Gameplay - You are looking at very limited combat here, stealth is the focus, for some they would say that is not acceptable (and some negative reviews clearly do), but I will say it loud and clear, don't go into this game expecting intricate combat because that is not the purpose here. You are playing as a young adult who is there to look after her little brother, so your job is to sneak passed enemies, distract them, and use crafting materials at your disposal to survive. There are elements of combat here like a dodge mechanic and using a sling to attack enemies with rocks and such, but this is not a game where you are all powerful. Your enemies are war trained knights, as well as rats who you also need to evade, puzzle elements are implemented here which you need to solve to get by, doing so unsuccessfully usually results in an instant death to Amicia or whoever is accompanying her, there is no health bar, you might think that makes the game very hard, but if you go in with the mindset of sneaking and not trying to brute force your way through, you will have a much easier time. I think what the game wants you to do is done well and I didn't have any major complaints on the gameplay side of things.

    Graphics - It is a very beautiful game, the game takes place in a 1300s France so you get some beautiful landscapes but the darker stuff is very dark, you may be trying to slip paste a horde of bloodthirsty rats to then walking along a battlefield riddled with dead bodies all over the place, this is a dark game and intended for mature audiences only.

    Collectibles and customization - You do have customization in this game like upgrading your sling, or certain items you can use to get by, you find crafting materials as you go and I did manage to upgrade everything except one thing by the end of the game. On top of that, you do have several pieces of collectibles that you can pick up like flowers that Hugo loves, these include fun little descriptions and information which I really enjoyed.

    Performance - I played on a fairly decent custom built PC and no major issues here, I had only frame drops whenever I got an achievement but that is about it.

    Final Rating - I had a wonderful time with this game, felt connected to the story and it's characters the whole way through, the gameplay is exactly what I expected to be, its about survival and protecting the ones closest to you (especially Hugo). It is a beautifully dark game with some a really impressive soundtrack, and with a sequel on the way, there is no better time to play the game than right now.    … Expand

    Игра мне очень зашла, разве что скомканность и некоторые сомнительные повороты последней трети игры подгорчили итоговые ощущения.
    Особенно хотелось бы выделить визуал и приятную атмосферу средневековой Европы (люблю такой сеттинг, и он тут сделан очень приятно). По сути это The Last of Us на минималках, но не в    Долго метался между 7 и 8, но все так решил попробовать в объективность.

    В общем всем советовать её не могу, но как сюжетное приключение очень даже может зайти)

    Had a great time playing this game!
    Nice story, acting is wonderful, mechanics are well polished. Game is not boring and not too long. Playthrough took me 10 hours and it was perfect way to spend the weekend.

    I got this masterpiece on a steam sale just thinking "well a couple of euros is nothing, i get to try something different than Wittcher 3, why not?" One of the best decisions i've made. Graphics are just 9/10, really gorgeous and dark...     The story was awsome up until the end where it got a bit too crazy for me, but this may be attributed to me thinking in the beggining of the game that this would be fairly grounded game, no fantasy crap, i tought they wanted my brother because of some real world reason (royal blood or something)
    If i went in knowing that this game would have some fantasy elements where the kid can control the rats and all that, maybe i wouldn't feel this way.

    Nonetheless, recomend it 100%

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It was a really good point up until the point Hugo your little brother gets "captured". This point in the game was so unclear and so badly written which confuses me because the game up until that point was great. So many games do this thing where they get the kid to turn against the family member and its dumb.

    Anyway Huge gets captured and locked in the cage by the enemy who you been fighting and killing the hole game. You rescue him for him to then run away and willingly hand himself over to the enemy because he believes they have has mother. Bearing in mind no evidence supports this theory other then he heard his mother scream from what must have been several miles away or this was just some weird dream state you were in?

    So Hugo ofcourse finds his mum but fails to escape with her. You can control rats now aswell which I also thought made the game boring. I enjoyed the puzzling part of finding your way round the rats but now its just killing people and nothing else. 1 month later he tries to kill his sister (You) because Hugo also guessed from 0 evidence that you weren't telling him that his mum was alive this hole time. So Hugo after this dumb moment where Hugo wants to kill you, you give him a hug and all is forgotten. Literally never mentioned again.
    The final boss was also hugely disappointing. Every enemy in the game is 1 shot headshot but the boss is 3 shot headshot? The hole fight consists of 3 minutes and was just underwhelming. You don't find the origin of the rats or why Hugo is the way he is.
    After killing him he doesn't have a mark on his face from 3 rocks being stuck in his head?

    The game overall doesn't run great unless you enable vsync even thou I was getting like 100 frames and my monitor has a 165 refresh rate and freesync? I didn't mind this thou cos the style of game is fun at a smooth 60.

    The game was really good up until it got towards the end. I was really enjoying it but it just nose dived off a cliff. It would have been better if Hugo got captured and you failed to help him. They then try threaten him with his mother which is how he finds out she lives. Hugo gets overwhelmed by the situation he then discovers he can control the rats at they come bursting out through the floors aiding him and his mums escape.
    That's just how I would have done it as its consistent with the story and it doesn't have Hugo magickly knowing everything.    … Expand

    Ho iniziato questo titolo solo nel giugno del 2021, e finendolo in 2 settimane circa, ma non so come ho fatto a non averlo visto prima, dato che ora sto aspettando il seguito che uscirà già nel 2022. Un titolo di altissimo livello dotato di assets incredibili, come quelli forniti da quixel megascan, una IA abbastanza raffinata con cui ho riscontrato pochi bug, scrittura del codice tantoHo iniziato questo titolo solo nel giugno del 2021, e finendolo in 2 settimane circa, ma non so come ho fatto a non averlo visto prima, dato che ora sto aspettando il seguito che uscirà già nel 2022. Espressioni facciali che mi hanno leggermente deluso, poiché solo alcuni personaggi erano dotati di buona espressione (mancante nella protagonista).
    Comparto audio piacevole, Doppiatori che hanno dato più vita ai personaggi. Mi piacerebbe vedere questo titolo doppiato anche in Italiano, ma quello inglese mi ha già super soddisfatto.
    Se non erro questo studio ha realizzato questo titolo pur non avendo un grandissimo budget, wow!
    Concludo col dire che è uno straordinario titolo, complimenti ai creatori.

    It is a good game with a good different story, but not spectacular.
    The truth is that the gameplay is very basic and sometimes even boring.

    Nothing to complain about the graphics, they are beautiful.

    Incredible well written and original. I'd give this a perfect score if enemies weren't all lookalikes. Really liked the environments where the French and the British we're battling amidst the plague!

    The story is so important in such a game as this and it does fall short in some departments, the last act is very rushed i hate when so many games do this and its so noticeable.
    The graphics are amazing tho, and the level design is almost everytime put so well together i wouldn t even need a guide.

    A cool story and an insane cinematographic direction in my opinion. would've prefer the gameplay to focus more on the infiltration part because the other part are ok but clearly not as good. the character outside of Hugo and Amicia are touching but not as memorable . WIll probably do Requiem in the Future tho.

    The game has a beautiful atmosphere , spectacular soundtrack , my only problem might be the final villain which is quite generic , that does not detract from the enjoyment of this game .

    the game has beautiful graphics and narrative, a dark and well paced setting, but struggles with control scheme issues and buggy/inconsistent npc behavior. in almost every situation, the game visually presents a wealth of decision making and options to you, yet only accepts a very narrow and often illogical solution to each puzzle. often, a task is designated to a specific ally to make the puzzle harder when it's literally just a lever and any one of the npcs could have pulled it, and even at that, it seems that many of the allies don't serve any purpose in the story. we have one girl who is literally unable to open doors, but can unlock them, and there is no point in the game where it serves a purpose to the puzzles. once we meet her though, suddenly every door is locked and she has to go up to it before we can enter. as the game progresses, these forced narrative issues become more and more problematic.

    the largest problem with this is that the npcs get stuck to the point where it's impossible to tell if we make the right decisions in a given puzzle, because your ally's scripted action to complete the next step doesn't activate for a full 10 minutes of walking back and forth. often, the game wants you to hit very specific switches or objectives, but the icons which lead you to those objectives won't appear when you are staring directly at them. it's like when a web app is broken so the cursor disappears whenever i'm hovering over a button that needs to be pressed. that said, the game is still playable and quite enjoyable, but i find myself frustrated with the lack of finish and bug checking that really smears an otherwise very solid game.    … Expand

    I did not expect this game to be so good. I was blown away. I usually prefer open world games and don't play linear stories but this one was a great experience. Can't wait for the second one.

    I absolutely loved the setting, the music, and the graphics of the game. Everytime I played the game, I was sucked into the atmosphere of 13th Century France during the black plague and the Spanish inquisition. The developers definitely set the mood very well. I was able to play on ultra settings and I noticed how beautiful the plants in the forest were, the medieval village buildings, andI absolutely loved the setting, the music, and the graphics of the game. Everytime I played the game, I was sucked into the atmosphere of 13th Century France during the black plague and the Spanish inquisition. The developers definitely set the mood very well. I was able to play on ultra settings and I noticed how beautiful the plants in the forest were, the medieval village buildings, and the light that reflected on them. I’m impressed. The voice acting was very good. Everyone talks in a very believable french accent and believable emotion into the words they say. There were some segments where people were very angry at a situation and I could feel it. There is a 5 year old boy named Hugo in about 90% of the game and you will grow to love him. He’s such a cute character.

    The story is heartbreaking and memorable. There were lots of characters you felt attached to as the game progressed until they suddenly died. The spanishj inquistition soldiers straight up murdered people and the game showed people’s last moments before they were slaughtered. The music was excellent. The game loves to use a soft violin that plays sadly in the background because of how terrible the situation is during this time in France. I noticed when you’re in a dark creepy place that hasn’t been discovered in decades, the music turns creepy. When an enemy comes trying to kill your character, the music gets super tense. It does a very good job setting the mood during the situation.

    The gameplay was decent but there were very frustrating segments that could have been better. The most frustrating part of the game was the rolling cart and archer segment. You AI controlled companion slowly moves a cart while a dozen or so archers are hurling arrows at your character. The arrows are instant death. You’re supposed to get behind the cart until you;re clear of the arrows at a gate at the end. The problem is, there are soldiers with swords also running towards you at the same time mixed with archers. Some of the archers has sights on you from far away at a different angle and you can’t kill them because there are those instant kill arrows on one side and soldiers running with their swords at you at the same time. I did not realize that there was one lone archer you were supposed to kill at a very far angle that can instant kill you for a really long time. I died over a dozen times at this segment that should only take 5 minutes but took maybe almost an hour.

    I really like how the game rewards you for going off an alleyway with extra material to upgrade your weapons or items. Sometimes they even lead to a small cutscene where you learn something new. The game also specifically marks spots in white to let you know what can be climbed over. It’s such a small thing but I appreciate it.

    There was another frustrating part where there was a combination of slow and quick soldiers. On one side of the map there is a slow soldier walking with a giant sword and thte other side a character running towards you. Thet game is really bad at indicating what kind of enemy you;re fighting with unless you move the camera or or walk out of the corner. I died a lot in this segment.

    See a pattern? The game is really bad at open court areas where you have to deal with multiple threats at once. You can’t see the enemy unless you move your camera or physically move your character where you can see the enemy in the far corner running at you. Unless you memorize where each type of enemy comes at you, you will die at least the first couple of times of that segment.

    There is a little too much escorting your helpless AI companion in this game. You can’t leave them alone or they’ll die and you have to babysit them if you walk off because a soldier will find them and kill them. I would say about 75% is like this.

    I loved the boss fights. The final boss comes straight from a marvel movie or a crazy bayonetta boss fight and I loved it. I hope the sequel comes with a boss rush mode and adds more bosses like these.

    I really like how the game does not have loading screens. As you progress through the level, it is seamless. There is a small lag for 2-3 seconds as it loads the next segment of the level, and that’s it. It was very smooth in terms of going through each segment.

    The replayability is very low i feel. There is no in-game incentive to replay the game after the credits. There is no new game plus. There is no boss rush or arena mode, but the game could definitely benefited from it. There are collectibles and the only good thing about them is you learn a little bit about history and the character’s opinion about them. It gives a small insight about what they feel about things and the things people used during that time.

    Overall i enjoyed this game minus the frustrating segments mentioned above and the lack of replayability. I love this word and its characters and im really excited for the sequel.    … Expand

    It hits a spot or two but it's generally quite a boring experience. I imagine it's very enjoyable for people who enjoy on-rails cinematic games like Uncharted, Hellblade, Last of Us etc.

    Graphics: beautiful visuals, I was really impressed with the lightning and how the game played with the lightning in order to make the plague world really immersive. The world is well designed. The characters are also good, but game makers don't usually nail people's models that well so I say that they're good relative to the average human characters in other games. What I feel that was out of the place was the rats that always go through each other like they're just transparent. That also applies to the big rats formations that don't really fit the rest of the game visuals that well, but I may just be a perfectionist.

    Story: I don't want to spoil anything, but the story is good. It has a few "I didn't expect that to happen" kind of moments but it builds up to a satisfying end. It's up to you if you like that kind of story, but I enjoyed it. If you plan on playing the game, remember this: click play again after the credits show up, I almost missed something that I will not spoil in this review.

    Gameplay: I liked the little puzzles that you find often enough that puts your brain to work, but also not often enough that makes it look boring. It's a good balance between story and gameplay. I have to point out that some rats levels can be ambiguous and you can die when you don't really have any visuals that rats could get to you, but after you find out what your mistake was, you can figure out how to get out pretty easily.    … Expand

    First look this game has a very good graphic but little solid for animation and motion.
    Game play and some puzzle can pass through easily but I like it because I can concentrate to the story without worry about how to pass the mission.

    Game play and some puzzle can pass through easily but I like it because I can concentrate to the story without worry about how to pass the mission.

    I really enjoyed this game, the graphics are beautiful and played it in french so it added some to my immersion. The main caracthers are all rigth and the gameplay is easy enough, really enjoyed the fragility sentiment offered by the weapons given to us. Would not play again though, it misses that special something that great games have

    If you like chill and adventure games, this game is for you. The Graphics, the characters and the music, is just great.

    But for me... I just couldn't finish it. Because am not a big fan of this type of games. The story is super slow and the gameplay is kinda repetitive, so I just got bored of it quick.

    Note: if you are afraid of RATS ... DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

    It was quite enjoyable for the most part. I'm really excited about the next sequel. A few bugs made the experience a little harder. Other than these, I loved the German dub. Better than English, I'd say.

    A plague tale have a beatiful graphics and beatiful art. But the gameplay is not that good, the system of aim are slow, the puzzles are not that good too. Doesnt have enough mechanics to kill enemies. Not enough stealth mechanics. simple puzzles, but works. Boss fights are bad, IA is not that good.     It was a good game. Rat mechanics was fine. Amicia got her upgrades pretty fast at some point. However, game was too long when i think about the gameplay. We are limited to discover environment and the design wasn't that appealing. Graphics were nice and puzzles were sometimes challenging. Overall, I can reccomend the game to anyone because it is easy to play and it has a good story.

Amicia finds herself in a desperate situation, the game takes place during the inquisition and the black death, the main character's family is facing hard times being chased by soldiers, and her little brother, Hugo, has some mystery running through his blood, all this while hundreds of thousands of rats are loose in the place killing everyone.

    A Plague Tale: Innocence has a graphic style that will leave anyone jaw-dropped, the entire universe of the game is beautiful, the characters, buildings, forests, and the entire environment, all accompanied by an impeccable soundtrack that leaves the player even more immersed in what is happening.

    Its story is the strong point, the game is completely based on it being very linear, so many will not like the pace of the game, slower and with many cutscenes. I found it incredible, the development of the characters is remarkable during the course of the journey. The innocence, presented in the title can be perceived in several moments, such as when Hugo comes across certain common things, but which are completely new experiences for him. Amicia also evolves a lot; at the beginning of the game, when she kills the first person, the character feels the weight of taking someone's life, but as the game progresses, she realizes that this is the only way to survive in the midst of this chaos. There was only one point that I didn't like in the story, I thought it would be more realistic until the end, however it takes a more fantasy direction especially in the final fight. But this is just my personal taste, nothing that would hinder the game.

    The gameplay itself is pretty simple, Amicia has to protect her brother and all she has in hand is her slingshot, a gift from her father. The game has its major focus on stealth but with moments in which it will be necessary to choose combat. New mechanics are added as time goes by, Amicia discovers new techniques with the characters, which guarantees a variety in the gameplay so as not to make it tiresome. Throughout the story some puzzles are presented to the player, none of them are very complex, some may require a certain moment of reflection but nothing difficult. It is presented to the player a mechanic to improve some skills of Amicia, their upgrades are interesting and to achieve them you use materials, the same necessary for the creation of ammunition for your slingshot, making the player has to be cautious of them not to spend all and run out of upgrades or ammunition at important moments.

    Besides the main story the game contains a mechanic that was my favorite, Hugo's herbarium, you can find flowers during your walk and he will put in Amicia's hair, creating very cute moments that generate a greater attachment to the characters.

    Coclusion, the game is amazing, it has a very good story and satisfying gameplay, I loved the character voices (I played in French) and overall it's a work of art. If you like story-focused games do yourself a favor and play it.    … Expand

    A Plague Tale: Innocence makes a commendable effort to mask its somewhat routine gameplay, and in the end, it wins you over with captivating atmosphere, great music, likeable main characters and nice visuals. If you like cinematic games, this stroll through Dark Ages is worth it.
