This game is not conventional, it is part story, party mini games, part quest. I have to admit that although the coolness and new graphics, I didn't liked it so much, the story was a bit dry, and the characters was not that interesting. without getting to any spoilers, I ending was not that good to me.

What I don't like about it:

So I played the first part of the game i.e. the five episodes. This is kinda a like periodic roller coaster. It is very low at the start of an episode; goes up at the end of one; then it is the same thing all over again. The worst thing about it, the story is short. I think if you want to, you can complete the whole game in like an hour and half, yes, all

So I played the first part of the game i.e. the five episodes. This is kinda a like periodic roller coaster. It is very low at the start of an episode; goes up at the end of one; then it is the same thing all over again.

The worst thing about it, the story is short. I think if you want to, you can complete the whole game in like an hour and half, yes, all the five episodes (just watching the story).

I think they really shot themselves in the foot by using this episode method. First if I have all the episodes, why can't I just continue the game from one exe, why do I have to close one and then open the other one to play it? It only makes this short story, worse.

There are so many mysteries in the story at this point that I doubt that they all would be answered/solved in the next 5 episodes.

Spoilers ahead: I actually enjoyed the episode 5 a lot, it showed promises, there was a level where they showed different kind of bugs and glitches that can happen to a game character. But it was only explorable, and again was cut short. I'm pretty sure time was spent on making that level, so why cut it short and not use it in a different way like a mini-game or something else, only devs would know. And once again, as soon as you start to get excited, boom episode over.

If they're going to do only 10 episodes of this, then I highly doubt that the conclusion of the whole story would be any good, if they keep doing things the way they're doing. If they're doing like 25-30 episodes, then instead they should've done 5-6 episodes i.e. compressing 5 episodes into 1. It wouldn't solve the problem of that periodic roller coaster, but at least it would make it a lot better if one could play it all once.

They let you skip mini-games, skip cutscenes, skip everything if the player wants to, like heck, why even make a video game at this point, What is the point in doing all this? Are you even not confident enough that player would sit through watching these cutscenes or playing these mini-games? You can complete the whole thing in 5 minutes at that point. You can call it player freedom only upto some extent, but this is not it.

    What I like about it:

The core of the story is good - creepy, mysterious and all that, but the execution not so much.

Another thing unique about it, is the graphics/art, whatever you wanna call it. Which again is getting wasted.

As for the technicalities, I didn't find any bugs or glitches.

Sure I don't like every mini-game, but I tried my best to get 5 stars in each and every one of them. Spoilers ahead: I think it was one arcade style mini-game where you shoot boxes or something, to stop the robots from left/right sides where I didn't try to get the high score as it was quite difficult. But other than that, the first person games are which I enjoyed the most. Other than that, third person games like car driving, I enjoyed that one as well, and got 5 starts in that as well, after so many retries.

It all depends on your taste, like what game you wanna play or enjoy.

I think they were trying to get a 3 out of 10 and portray their own story with this game, well they got one from me. Spoilers: Unlike midge who tried to get 4/10, not happening right now.

Let's see how it does in the future, but if they keep continuing on the same path, I don't have high hopes. I highly doubt someone would pay to play this.

    Suggestions:

At least they shouldn't make cutscenes skippable, or at least ask players if they want cutscenes or mini-games skippable and only allow one, that's my view on it.

Why can't I just continue the game from one exe, why do I have to close one and then open the other one to play it?

Please make better use of the story, make it lengthy or improve it's quality, make the pace better or something. This just seems like another case of good potential ruined.

3 Out of 10 is an outstanding mixture of cartoon and game, which gives an ironic look at the video game industry. It's a genuinely funny title, which at the same time makes use of all of the power of Unreal Engine 4 and manages to handle serious subjects. The season ends with a huge cliffhanger, which isn't bad at all. But there's a flip side to that coin, though, since I cannot wait a year to see more misadventures of my beloved characters.

What makes 3 Out of 10 work is that it’s just plain enjoyable, mixing smart commentary on the gaming industry with a great cast that can weather the madness of their world. Like most TV series it takes an episode or two to fully establish itself, but I played these as they came out and caught myself looking forward to the season finale. The needs of a game are different than those of a TV show, but 3 Out of 10 does an amazing job of fusing them together into an episodic adventure that demands a hopefully-quick turnaround for Season Two.

If you are looking for an escape from the craziness that is life then 3 out of 10 is the game for you. It offers something different for everything between the mini-games, the story, and the humor. Your adventures inside of Shovelworks Studios will take you all over the office and even into some outside areas. Video game development can be a cutthroat business and you will watch how the team interacts with each other as you play through the story.
