This game is okay. Deferent and stunning design, with a beat that fits the game, but all in all not a very good game thats is to short. You can finish it in about 20-30 minutes.

Surprisingly good game.. I normally avoid 'retro' games most are not retro and are just poor imitations of past glories.. but pleased I purchased this on impulse. Its simple gfx style don't detract from this platform game. The Music and beats make this game very interesting indeed.

140 is a minimalist (and I really mean minimalist!) platformer very much in the same mould as Thomas Was Alone. Each of the 3 stages requires the player to collect small round 'keys' which are used to gradually open up more of the level. What differentiates 140 from other similar titles however is its use of audio with players having to respond to the background music that builds throughout each stage, rather than just visual clues, in order to time movement and jumps correctly and avoid a multitude of obstacles and deadly falls. At the end of each stage the game mixes things up a little with, what could loosely be described as, boss battles that see the player having to avoid or shoot incoming projectiles.

140 is not a long game and, if you ignore the mirror mode, a decent player will likely be able to complete the main game in about an hour. Its retro visual style, sharp controls, and unique use of audio in particularly, do however make for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Last time I checked it was available for around £5 so it is well worth picking up.

Although its only options are movement and jumping, the controls interact with patterns in beats as well as with objects that are affected in various ways by the beats. "Rhythm platformer" may sound simple, but it's a game that lets you 'learn as you go', although I'm not sure what the lesson was. At only a few hours long, I'd only suggest the game to those who stumble on a bargain andAlthough its only options are movement and jumping, the controls interact with patterns in beats as well as with objects that are affected in various ways by the beats. 140 is a music-based puzzle platformer that uses abstract shapes for all of the game objects.

This game is pretty, but lacks substance. The shapes are distinct enough that you can tell what's going on, and the game certainly is going for an interesting style, but it's all devoid of any meaning or significance, especially because the game has zero story. The music provides a nice beat

This game is pretty, but lacks substance. The shapes are distinct enough that you can tell what's going on, and the game certainly is going for an interesting style, but it's all devoid of any meaning or significance, especially because the game has zero story. The music provides a nice beat for the game to go by, but it's repetitive and not very memorable. The controls work fine and the levels are competently built, but the game is very short, there's not a whole lot of challenge, and no part of this game stands out as being better than "competent" or "decent".

There's not much in this game that's done poorly, but there's also not much that's better than average here. It's really just kind of a waste of time. There's nothing worthwhile to experience in this game. It's not worth your time, and it's certainly not worth your money.

I was going to give this a 10. It's incredibly well designed. The beat flows beautifully with the gameplay and the music itself is amazing. I was rocking my head as I played each level.

The reason I'm not giving it a 10 is when you've supposedly "finished" the game there are 4 extra levels. I was so excited until I found out they are "special" levels where if you die it takes you aaaall

I was so excited until I found out they are "special" levels where if you die it takes you aaaall the way back to the lobby where you have to activate the level again and start all over again. This turned the game from an enjoyable, relaxing and uplifting experience to a frustrating, grinding torture fest. I've spent hours trying to complete them and I'm up to the point where I'm ready to smash my keyboard. They could've at least put in a quick restart option.

If you want to get a perfect impression of the game please skip the last 4 levels. They ruin it completely.

Music-drive minimalist platform game. About three hours of gaming, it never gets particularly exciting, but on the good side it is rarely frustrating. Consider it if you find it for very cheap.

140 is a game which combines both rhythm and platforming mechanics. It has a solid colour scheme, minimalistic visuals, and a kick-ass soundtrack for each level. While the game itself does not contain much content, and could use a level editor, the content that is included makes this game stand up amidst lacking nature.

140 is a sweet little platformer where synchronizing your movement with the music is often the key to progress further in the game. I was scanning through Humble Trove for a casual title when I found this gem. There are 4 main levels and it took me about 2 hours to complete them. 4 more levels unlock when you complete the game, although they incorporate permadeath. I didn't sign for a nerve-racking experience, and it was only until I deleted the game that I realized that it would be cool to smash them too. High five, the previous me.

A great example of a low-budget game with a great idea and marvelous realization. During the game everything, starting with colors and music, is enjoyable. Ok, if you have complications with perception of rapidly changing colors, etc., it's not the game you search for. But for now 6/10 due to the good realization and low price.

With its beat, pounding in the head and on the skin, 140 proves once again what the indie scene is about. Jeppe Carlsen creates a wonderful experience and delivers what is more than a game: a love declaration to music and genius.

Though the brutal rise in difficulty near the end mars the adventure, it doesn't ruin the overall mood, and the cover charge is more than reasonable for this particular night at the club. Grab a colorful cocktail and head to the dance floor!

140 is the scientific definition of a platformer. It is cold, brutal, elegant and beautiful in a mathematic way.
