Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is a huge package, whatever way you look at it. For newcomers looking for a great party game to accompany Mario Kart World, look no further. For owners of the base game, the new content is enjoyable enough to justify the added cost (especially if you have kids). One of the best Mario Party games just got better.

Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition más Jamboree TV proves how to do console upgrades right. Instead of just visual improvements, Nintendo added features that genuinely use the Switch 2's unique capabilities. The camera integration and new modes like Show de Bowser couldn't exist on original hardware, making this a true evolution. Team gameplay and compact matches add real strategic depth beyond cosmetic changes. For regular Mario Party players, the social transformation justifies the upgrade. Seeing real-time reactions creates memorable moments impossible elsewhere in the genre. Main limitation is requiring additional camera hardware, though core experiences work with just the integrated microphone.

Although the new modes are a bit weak, there's no denying that Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV is a sensational multiplayer game.

Players aged 4 to 80 can have fun right away with this huge number of irreverent mini-games, with Nintendo Switch 2 raising the possibilities with voice-controlled mini-games and mouse-like controls.

My experience with Super Mario Party Jamboree is likely an uncommon one for some reviewers, but especially as the Switch 2 ages, it probably won’t be completely unique. Unless you expect to get a lot of mileage out of the specific Mario Party additions to the game, including the goofy camera support, faster Frenzy mode, and novel Tag Team mode, you’re likely better off just playing the original Switch 1 version. The barrier for entry for the Switch 2 Jamboree TV content is very high and while I’ve been digging most of what’s added to it, the new additions are on the whole middling. This might be the most fun I’ve had with Mario Party since the Wii, but I also would much rather have a brand new Mario Party game on Switch 2 than this weird frankenstein.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is still the best entry in the series, but the new content of the Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV re-release adds frustrating limitations and strange design decisions to what was otherwise a polished, customizable experience. Its camera-focused content is pretty forgettable, but there are a few worthwhile additions like the great mouse control minigames and interesting new rulesets. However, it’s hard to enjoy them to the fullest due to how this content is divided across two separate versions that don’t talk to each other at all. Core features like achievements, unlockables, minigame records, and even rulesets are locked behind the Switch 1 version, which shockingly got zero performance or resolution updates like the Jamboree TV portion did.

Jamboree TV offers some more and varied uses of the Switch 2's unique features with a charming game show format that will be fun for breaking out at parties. Its new content, however, doesn't integrate with the base game and makes for an awfully pricey package if you don't already own the original game.
