A comprehensive and delightful platforming adventure that is as charming as it is accessible.

Is a game that should be considered a must-have for those who have already tried the original version, or even for new players. It's one of the best platformers for Nintendo consoles in recent years and a necessary evolution for the franchise.

Each stage in Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World is fun and engaging, giving everyone who enjoyed the original version even more to love. There are plenty of things to love about this game: amazing music, great gameplay and stellar art. Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World is a wonderful addition to the Nintendo Switch 2. It won’t be the most challenging game, with the difficulty being easy, but it's still incredibly fun to play. While it may have been a late addition to the lineup of updated games on the console's launch, it still shows that it can hold its place as one of the best Kirby games.

Star-Crossed World feels like a well-integrated playable epilogue: more content and new paths thanks to crystals, three clever Mouthful modes, and an engaging Starries hunt. It doesn’t reinvent the formula, but it adds a solid 4–5 hours and reasons to return to Waddle Dee Town on Switch 2.

Star-Crossed World adds a touch of the familiar and just enough fresh ideas to enrich an already generous package—now even more complete thanks to the improved performance on Switch 2. The challenge can be surprisingly steep for those who want it, but even so, Kirby and the Forgotten Land remains, three years later, one of the most delightful and accessible 3D platformers for players of all ages and skill levels.

Here, you'll find a few nice new levels with new challenges. None of this transforms the game in any way; it's simply more of the same. You can have a few hours of fun with it and enjoy the noticeably improved technology, perhaps even on a completely new playthrough. Nevertheless, I'm ultimately left with the impression that, despite the quality of the content, I think €20 is a bit too much, especially since other Nintendo games have received a free technical upgrade on the Switch 2.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is an old game with an obscene new price tag that doesn’t offer anywhere near enough to convincingly get away with it. The original game was great, but this package is a cash grab from a company intent on selling its flagships out. It's really sad to see Kirby, my favorite Nintendo series, used to normalize this exploitative new price point.
