Jun 15, 2026Amnesia: Rebirth isn’t a bad game by any means. It certainly has some qualities, but it never reaches the heights of the other games in the series, especially The Dark Descent. It’s still a very interesting game with great atmosphere and some clever ideas.

May 26, 2026Amnesia: Rebirth still shows some of the elements that made the Amnesia series a powerhouse of horror games, namely its atmosphere and the player's sense of vulnerability. However, the game promises something it does not fully deliver, and soon enough the main gameplay mechanics feel like a chore. At the same time, there are long moments where very little happens that's worth of notice. Overall, Amnesia: Rebirth gets things right when it comes to creating an atmosphere of unrest, but it lacks the consistency to make it an exquisite horror game across the board.

May 15, 2026The story is disappointing, and I feel like it's more melodrama than horror. It lacks freshness, and the first few moments are a struggle. They defend themselves with lighting's impact on gameplay and object physics, but that's the bare minimum for a series like Amnesia.
