May 29, 2012Fast paced arcade racing game with futuristic flying vehicles. Cool tracks filled with power-ups (Mario Kart style) that allow you to chase and destroy your enemies. One of the best futuristic racers ever made. The only downside is about the graphics, they are a direct port from PS which is an inferior hardware. Still, this is a very good game.

Jun 4, 2023Loved the techno soundtrack at the time, it was the incentive to race around in these cool vehicles.

Aug 5, 2023Can't confirm the hype for Wipeout. Yes it's fast and it's nice how the N64 can handle it, but if you kiss the border you loose speed and can forget the race. The difficulty and the controls stop me from playing.

The gameplay of WipeOut 64 is really just classic WipeOut. There are no big innovations here, but that still doesnt stop this game from being one of the top racing games out there.

Wipeout 64, Psygnosis first N64 effort, is one hell of a ride that is all about new additions, better control, more speed and enhanced graphics. And guess what? Even the music rocks. We think Nintendo 64 owners are in for a real surprise with this one.

Wipeout 64 isn't a bad game by any means. It just doesn't have the same level of adrenaline pumping action and playability that Miyamoto's racer has.
