It's sad but unsurprising that the game's look pretty much duplicates the original PC game. While texture-mapped scenery looks a little better, all monsters, items, and basically anything changeable in the environment are implemented as sprites - essentially, sets of still pictures that show the same character in different perspectives. It's not very vivid.
-
A great effort, but when compared to games like Turok or Golden Eye, it falls short. With glaring problems in the multiplayer modes, it's hard to see Duke Nukem 64 being taken seriously as a contender in the 3D shooter category.
-
Nintendo's censors required the removal of many of the game's more "suggestive" elements (sex shops and strippers), which is obscene in my mind. It is okay to include violence but not sex? Isn't this a double standard?

There is some good stuff here. It's a shame they had to ruin the rest of the game.
