Feb 11, 2013A very good game, with very good gameplay and a great soundtrack. It fits perfectly with the iPhone's (or iPad's) touchscreen. Sadly, the "freemium" aspect of the game is its Achille's heel, as added costs could lead the player to spend three times the whole price of the 3DS version.
-
Dec 19, 2012A less involved version of the 3DS rhythm game, this iOS venture is suited to those who have a deep love - and deep pockets - for Final Fantasy franchise.
-
Dec 18, 2012The iOS game is much abridged compared to the iOS original. The game starts as a free download with two songs, Final Fantasy VII's One Winged Angel and Final Fantasy X's Zanarkand, with the rest of the 59-song soundtrack available as in-app purchases for $0.99 / 69p each.
-
Dec 17, 2012If you just want to play a few songs for nostalgia's sake, or get really, really good at tapping to "One-Winged Angel," this should be a suitable download. But if you'd like a fleshed-out game that feels like a true tribute to the fans, you won't find it on iOS yet.
-
Dec 14, 2012Even if you can live with the high price tags for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy's in-app purchases, don't give Square-Enix a gil until it addresses and fixes the game's technical problems.
