Even if it has some good ideas and it’s well adapted to this new platform, The Elder Scrolls Blades has also many flaws. A perfectible movement system, broken core mechanics, glitches… There’s still some work to do.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades has a few bright spots, but this watered-down version of Tamriel is far from the mobile Elder Scrolls game fans may have been hoping for. [Early Access Review]

Just another mobile con job...A toned down Dungeon Keeper Mobile with boring combat and a deliberately unrewarding "reward" system, Blades is another shameless cash grab from a company that should know better.

Timers for chests have been removed and even if the game still requires you to wait sometimes it doesn't feel obnoxious. Many quests have been added and by normal gameplay you can loot so many 'gems' (aka premium currency) that paying for it seems totally unnecessery. I've always liked the navigation and especially the combat system however navigating through dungeons could be more engaging. Overall I think this game succeeds in being what it was mean to be- a doungeon crawler. Lets not forget that this is a mobile game so by design it's not meant to be played longer than 30 minutes in one session (people play this on the go not in their homes when able to play on their console/pc).

Never seen a game with less than 1 on the rating scale. Who said Bethesda don't innovate?

Character customization is bland, framerates are choppy (for reference, I'm playing on a Galaxy S8), loot is boring and the crafting system is ATROCIOUS. The economy is poorly balanced and smashes you over the head with micro transactions CONSTANTLY, totally ruining immersion.

The deepest combat gets is twitch reacting to hit your shield fast enough to block a blow, a pain and difficult given the way we hold phones. God forbid you're a gamer with some form of physical disability, it would be impossible to play. Play sessions longer than 15 minutes PHYSICALLY start to hurt!

Loot boxes are doled out constantly, with appropriate pavlovian conditioning animation effect, and require timers to unlock; what POSSIBLE reason could there be to require the 5 second timer on the smallest box? It's that it costs a gem to speed up the timer! Add to that the slight delay between clicking to START opening the loot box and the animation actually starting, and you might make the silly mistake of clicking again to start, by which time everything has caught up and you've just spent a precious sum of your premium currency without confirmation! It's so transparently a greedy move to suck away the sparse amount you are doled out that it's frankly infuriating!

Remember that feeling you had when you last played Skyrim of opening a dwemer tomb, killing a dragon or finding a hidden cache of valuable treasure? Yea, you're not going to find it here. Only RSI and exploitative microtransactions lie ahead. This game feels like it was designed by a board of consultants whom in their free time develop Slot Machines, attend EA executive board meeting and relax by returning to the 32nd layer of hell after a day of "work". It provides no sense of accomplishment or reward; it merely taps into those primitive parts of the brain that turns a person into an addict. That I hate it SO much but still have it installed is but one of many a good reason to stay well clear of this absolute garbage.

And to open those quickest - I would have to wake up every hour, open the app and click a few things. So effectively I can't play for a week until everything is opened.
Alternatively I could pay, but even that would cost me £5 for just 3h of play time. What If I played another 3h, it would be another 5er - or another week of waiting.

The game itself is so repetitive, there are only 3 randomly assembled dungeons, you'll have seen it all after an hour or so. No voice over, no interesting story lines, the combat is meh, the sound is not always coming from wherever the enemy is. It's all a big mess, not worth even a smaller microtransaction. Stay away from this one!
