    Sure it's zombies, but you'll forgive me for letting that point slide when the gameplay has such an incredible zen-like approach - swing away at the undead, or let them dance the night away; either way you get the last laugh.

    If you want to explore every last upgrade in this free game, you'll probably need to invest some of your real money at some point, but there's more than enough content up front to keep you busy and amused for at least a few hours this weekend.

    Deeply silly and full of gimmicky distractions, The Bowling Dead simply isn't fun enough to match its outrageously daft concept.

    It's not quite gripping enough to want to sink so much time into it. It's fun for a little while, but it's not the kind of game that will make the hours vanish. It's just too shallow for that and, while new elements are slowly unlocked, the gameplay never truly evolves.
