A Star Wars themed, dungeon crawling RPG for mobile devices. Outside of a few hiccups with the controls, the full touchscreen system means that you aren't as mobile as you would like to be in a firefight, everything works fine. With loot hunting, plenty of content, gear upgrades, and cooperative multiplayer there is plenty to keep you coming back for countless hours.

With loot hunting, plenty of content, gear upgrades, and cooperative multiplayer there is plenty to keep you coming back for countless hours.

In many ways this feels kind of like KOTOR-lite. No, it doesn't have the depth of those excellent RPG's, but it certainly has a similar feel. It might not be the spiritual successor you're looking for, but it's a great gmae on it's own.

The area where it really disappoints is in it's story. Meant to bridge the gap between episodes VI and VII, what we get is bland writing and a faceless cast. It's a shame it doesn't do much in that department until much later in the game. To get to that point expect to go through a lot of grinding in order to reach the level requirements on the story missions.

Luckily the gameplay is solid enough to keep you invested for that time. When you mix in the fact that it's free it's hard to find a reason why any Star Wars fan shouldn't at least give this one a shot. It's minor issues and disappointments are worth putting up with thanks to the overall solidly designed nature of the game. Even better is that you can experience it all without spending a single penny.

This is a fun mobile star wars game. Not that serious an effort, but enjoyable one none the less. One of the standout things I appreciated are the sound effects from the star wars universe, including KOTOR.

No, this is not KOTOR. No, this is not a proper sequel... but it is a game that is easy to get into, and isn't a money grab. Enjoy it for what it is, not what a $20 million dollar

If the developers keep their promise to constantly expand this Diablo-like action RPG, it will stay on my iPad for long. [12/2015, p.72]

Yes the gameplay can be wonky and the limited XP missions are frustrating, but beneath that is an engaging, deep, and plain old fun RPG set in everyone’s favorite sci-fi fantasy universe. It’s great fun and it comes highly recommended.

Star Wars: Uprising is on the brink of being a shameless commercial monstrosity. Still, it’s become a decent clone of Diablo, which, due to the complete lack of challenge, will make you fall asleep sooner rather than later. Zzzztar Warzzzzz… [Sept. 2015, p. 069]
