If you want an in-depth gaming experience, this isn’t the title for you. But if you’re looking for a quick taste of the Star Wars universe on the small screen, this is an easy to play, surprisingly engaging little game.

If the developers keep their promise to constantly expand this Diablo-like action RPG, it will stay on my iPad for long. [12/2015, p.72]

Yes the gameplay can be wonky and the limited XP missions are frustrating, but beneath that is an engaging, deep, and plain old fun RPG set in everyone’s favorite sci-fi fantasy universe. It’s great fun and it comes highly recommended.

Uprising is an enjoyable addiction in the new Star Wars canon. It's a shame that its missions are so similar and uninspiring.

One missed opportunity because its core is a fairly good action RPG, but beyond the first few hours you'll find a pretty repetitive game.

Behind some good ideas there's a game that doesn't get to shine. Still, fans of the Star Wars franchise will enjoy the experience.

If you’re a Star Wars fan who’s looking to pass some time before the release of The Force Awakens, you could do far worse.

Star Wars Uprising embraces the Action RPG genre… but without the Force. Too predictable and generic, but could keep fans of the George Lucas universe entertained, specially playing in co-op.

Star Wars: Uprising is on the brink of being a shameless commercial monstrosity. Still, it’s become a decent clone of Diablo, which, due to the complete lack of challenge, will make you fall asleep sooner rather than later. Zzzztar Warzzzzz… [Sept. 2015, p. 069]

Uprising succeeds in putting gamers at an exciting point on the Star Wars timeline, and it’s easy to get attached to your character. However, it doesn’t offer much in the way of information about what’s happening in the galaxy at large, which might be a disappointment to fans who had hoped for more.

Star Wars: Uprising seems initially cool but turns very samey.

Star Wars: Uprising is a perfectly solid RPG, but it doesn't do much that we haven't all seen before.

Star Wars: Uprising delivers on a promise of a simple action-game fix for an hour or so a day without paying a dime, but it’s far from a memorable Star Wars game.

I am a sucker for ARPG games, and I really was hoping Uprising would be able to evoke some of the feeling I get when playing my favorites. I think with some updates it has the potential to improve but until then Uprising is going to be in the 'miss' column for me.

Star Wars Uprising offers brand recognition, and little else making it one to jump to hyperspace past.

“It could have been a KOTOR sequel but it isn't.”
Overall, Star Wars: Uprising feels like a game that had great concepts behind it and then they tossed them all out the window save one or two to make the game launch in time for Episode VII. It’s a true shame, as this could have been the spiritual successor to KOTOR that Star Wars and RPG fans have been wanting and needing for 12 years. It's as if millions of fans cried out, and were ignored completely by the developer. And I'm not sure how to feel about that...

Aside from that this is another forgettable mobile gameThe most Star Wars-y parts of this game are the music and the title screen. Aside from that this is another forgettable mobile game experience. What little entertainment there is wears off rather quickly. The missions are repetitive and the overall gameplay is a huge grind. The story isn't even that engaging and that is the only thing this game really has going for it. The crew member upgrade system is stupid, why does one have to grind gear to upgrade crew members? The combat is very simplistic and the controls are sketchy; certain controls hardly work even half the time. The core gameplay revolves around grinding out repetitive missions to grind gear even if you don't use said gear.

I'm a big Star Wars fan (like many of you I'm sure) and this game is a solid meh.
