    With the digital version, the bookkeeping is automatic and the game is so much quicker than its cardboard counterpart that, if you’re in a no-win situation, it’s easy to just reset and start again. All of that combines to make digital Sentinels the ideal way to play Sentinels.

    Sentinels of the Multiverse: The Video Game is a faithful adaptation of the card game that maintains much of the fun of the original, while alleviating some of the issues with handling the math. Its UI can be a little confusing to navigate at times, but its one real flaw is that it doesn't maintain the cooperative nature of the analog version that makes it so enjoyable

    Despite my misgivings, Sentinels of the Multiverse is entertaining. It has an aura of desperation in fighting a superior enemy and really drives home the threat level of the 4 included bosses.

The base game includes the same content you would get buying the physical version and a bit more. The game offers access to variant versions of each of the ten heroes included and a variant of two of the villains. The expansions can be bought through a Season Passes or individually depending on your preference. Really the best part for me is being able to play this game solo so I can face challenges my board gaming group isn't as inclined to do.… Full Review »

The best part about it is that Handelabra is constantly updating and adding new content to improve the user experience and expand the rich world of content from the original game. Some of the earlier reviews are a bit out dated in this respect as the game has come a long way from when it originally launched a couple of years ago.

    The basic premise of the game is that you are a team of heroes fighting to defeat of villain in a given environment. There are many hero and villain architypes to choose from as well as a number of environments creating a large amount of possible variations to play. You can play it as a solo game or use an interface to team up with other players around the globe for a team game. This is a corporative game where everyone is fighting for the common goal of defeating the villain, so if you are looking for a player vs player game, this is not going to scratch that itch.
