    Great game (9/10) , but sub-par implementation (5/10). I really like the game that "Sentinels" is based on - meaning the game mechanics and the card art. The transition to software has not been quite successful - it works but it could have been a lot better by use of more and better sound effects, animations and more fluid feel of the game.

    This is a great game originally created by Greater Than Games that Handelabra has converted from physical to digital form. The best part about it is that Handelabra is constantly updating and adding new content to improve the user experience and expand the rich world of content from the original game.     The basic premise of the game is that you are a team of heroes fighting to defeat of villain in a given environment. There are many hero and villain architypes to choose from as well as a number of environments creating a large amount of possible variations to play. You can play it as a solo game or use an interface to team up with other players around the globe for a team game. This is a corporative game where everyone is fighting for the common goal of defeating the villain, so if you are looking for a player vs player game, this is not going to scratch that itch.

The game offers access to variant versions of each of the ten heroes included and a variant of two of the villains.     With the digital version, the bookkeeping is automatic and the game is so much quicker than its cardboard counterpart that, if you’re in a no-win situation, it’s easy to just reset and start again. All of that combines to make digital Sentinels the ideal way to play Sentinels.

    Sentinels of the Multiverse: The Video Game is a faithful adaptation of the card game that maintains much of the fun of the original, while alleviating some of the issues with handling the math. Its UI can be a little confusing to navigate at times, but its one real flaw is that it doesn't maintain the cooperative nature of the analog version that makes it so enjoyable
