This games is fun. I never paid anything. Attack defenses of real people. This provides a lot of variety. I enjoy making strategies based on the defense i am about to attack. Lots of gems easily available by winning tournaments. Even lucky chests after every fight provide opportunities to get some goodies. If you play longer, you become stronger. I have been playing this game for many months and enjoying it. Just don't expect to be complete the game in few weeks. As you grow stronger, you can take on tougher opponents. It is your choice, whether you want to fight an opponent at your level, higher level or lower level. The reward is determined by how much unprotected gold is available with your opponent. The temporary boosts also change the dynamic. Those who can persist will enjoy the variety. Expand

Royal Revolt II is fun, but not as fun as its predecessor. You can fight against other people and challenge them with your troops, but in order to actually win against the strongest opponents, you need to pay real money. While the game is completely playable totally free of charge, microtransactions are basically everywhere.

Royal Revolt 2 looks, sounds, and plays wonderfully. To get anywhere at an acceptable pace, though, you'll have to spend real money - and lots of it.

Fun yet sometimes frustratingly slowly paced, Royal Revolt 2 is a conflicting reverse tower defense game, and not one for those who despise freemium elements.
