Through all of the ups, and downs of RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile, it’s still an enjoyable experience allowing you to simply build roller coaster on your iOS device, and expand your park in various ways making it worth picking up.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile does little to earn its name, or its price tag. Sad as it is to say, it's almost indistinguishable from any other free-to-play building game. Atari is obviously hoping to sell the game on its name alone. For that, somebody in charge needs to be forced to ride on the last car of a wooden roller coaster for a year straight. No bathroom breaks.

At this point you would be far better off picking up a copy of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 then dishing any money out for this one.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile mighthave been a reasonable free-to-play title, as a premium game, its greed is too much to stomach.

The RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise finally comes to iOS, but it's a rather disappointing affair.

At $2.99, RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile isn’t a smart purchase, especially considering it’s an extension of a series as robust as RollerCoaster Tycoon. There are plenty of similar tapping games out there that are absolutely free.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is a fun diversion if you’re willing to spend money, or if you have no issue waiting hours for a timer to expire.

There was no need to sully the name of Rollercoaster Tycoon with this release, but nostalgia aside this is still a sub-par social game with minimal gameplay and a heavy-handed focus on in-app purchases.

Little more than an abject demonstration of how micro-transaction abuse can completely destroy the amusement value of a game.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile employs business practices that would come across as underhanded even in a free-to-play game. The fact that Atari expects players to pay up front for it is shameful.

The hellish micro transactions, unfriendly interface, the lack of any challenge whatsoever, let alone freedom and the horrendous techniques make Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile a sum of disappointments.

About the only thing I can say in favour of Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is that it accurately captures the experience of visiting a theme park: it costs too much to get in, the stalls are all overpriced, you have to wait ages for all the rides and the whole experience will leave you feeling decidedly nauseous.

I never would have thought I'd say this about a video game, but Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is just absolutely sickening.

It is just a continuation of a trend in mobile gaming, developers adding in disgusting in-app purchases to try and suck money out of you.

In case you haven't heard, Atari recently (kind of) filed for bankruptcy. They need any money they can get at this point, but this game has no similarity to previous RCT games, and only bears the name of RollerCoaster Tycoon to try and suck you into a game that really is just timers and paywalls. Atari has pretty much stomped all over what we've grown up on, and after 10 years, this is what we get?

And even worse, this game is $2.99 (at least in Canada, may be different in other countries). There are tons of games like this that are FREE. Atari is, quite obviously, using the RCT name to try and make you pay $2.99 for a game that is pushing you to pay even more in IAP. I'm telling you, don't waste your time and money on this terrible excuse of a game, if you want to even call it that, because you'll be waiting more than you'll be playing (unless you buy tickets with real, hard-earned money).

It's another prime example of game developers trying to milk their customers out of as much money as possible. If you want to play RollerCoaster Tycoon, go back and play the original two, but not this atrocity. Full Review »

What's worse, is that it still has MICRO F**KING TRANSACTIONS. 2 types as well. Don't give Atari your money at the moment, they have gone half-bankrupt, and have absolutely trashed the RCT series with this "game". Don't buy it even if your life depended on it. Full Review »
