Aug 17, 2012Fast paced, gorgeous, and violent in all the right ways, Random Heroes deserves to be played by as many people as possible.

Games Master UKOct 24, 2012As far as platformers go, this is right up there. [Dec 2012, p.93]

Aug 20, 2012While I still like the game, it's not perfect. The controls need a bit more work, especially having an option to directly go down platforms rather than jumping first. Oh, and strafing would be nice - currently, you can only move forward while shooting, but not shoot while moving backwards.

Sep 17, 2012Random Heroes is a very, very entertaining game, as well as fresh and simple. This are, at least in our opinion, its best features. It stays true, offers us many levels and weapons and the classic feeling –and graphics– of the old school. Reasonable price and many hours of fun.
-
Aug 21, 2012Eschewing the frantic speedrun nature of their hardcore League of Evil series, Random Heroes is a more laidback adventure that gives casual gamers the opportunity to get in on the fun.
-
Aug 21, 2012A solid and largely entertaining side-scroller with retro charm to spare. Random Heroes didn't wow us as expected, but it's another fine game in Ravenous' growing portfolio, as well as a cool retro homage to the good old days.
-
Aug 20, 2012The key issue with Random Heroes is that in making the levels longer, Ravenous took out a lot of the replay value by just making the levels completion-based.
-
Aug 21, 2012If you find yourself craving a retro 2D side scroller, Random Heroes is definitely worth a try. However, unless you absolutely need another game in your mobile collection, there's little reason to buy it on your device instead of playing it for free online.

Aug 21, 2012As it is, it's not a bad little platform shooter, and there is something awesome about Honest Abe toting a flamethrower, but it's not Ravenous and Wobblyware's best work.
-
Aug 21, 2012Random Heroes is a nice distraction for a couple of hours, but it lacks any lasting appeal.
-
Aug 20, 2012Random Heroes keeps things simple, returning to the old-skool format of placing one level after another with no real reward for progression; it's a trip down memory lane, but a brief and uneventful one at that.
-
Aug 21, 2012The guns and costumes you'll be buying make Random Heroes a little more appealing, perhaps, but they're poor compensation for a wider lack of imagination.
-
Aug 20, 2012Random Heroes has lots to like, but at the end of the day it just doesn't come together.
-
Aug 21, 2012When the controls decide to work in Random Heroes, the game comes together and can be a lot of fun. However, the frustration from times when it doesn't work outweighs the good, making Random Heroes a tepid recommendation.
