    Like many new iPad games, Pocket Trains is a free game to play but an expensive game to be successful at. Unlike prior Nimblebit titles like Tiny Tower, getting "bux" is no longer a luxury and is basically a necessity to expand your railroad empire.

    The concept is simple, but it works well enough to keep us playing for many hours. The in-app purchases are avoidable, and with dedication we can progress without worrying too much about them.

    A sequel usually tends to be bigger and better: however, Pocket Trains doesn't follow this rule, ending in having less depth and much more focus on IAPs if compared to the overall better Pocket Planes released last year.
