    Cool presentation can’t save this game from inexplicably bad AI (drivers arbitrarily taking a longer than necessary route or refusing to use a particular highway for no reason) and visual and gameplay glitches, such as deleted highways not always being refunded. Otherwise cool, but it’s hard to have fun when the mechanics are so fundamentally broken.     Mini Motorways is a minimalist game with lovely visuals and a low-key soundtrack. The gameplay is pressure-filled, however, and may not appeal to those who are lacking in the organization and neatness department.

    Its mellow pace, peaceful sound effects, and steady built-in intensity are reminiscent of Nintendo’s formative Game & Watch titles, with Mini Motorways remaining mesmerising throughout.

    Between city building and puzzle, Mini Motorways is an enjoyable little game that reveals itself also as a deep and challenging activity for your brain.
