A solid port of an imaginative game that puts a lot of control in your hands.

It's a shame that this porting of Max & The Magic Marker is the most poor version so far. Despite the developers' efforts, the small screen of the iPhone makes impossible to draw accurate lines and shapes. The iPad version is slightly better, but it still has some problems with the controls.

Its colorful, childlike art and perky soundtrack will immediately draw you in and the fun of figuring out which shapes to draw in order to solve a challenging puzzle will appeal greatly to fans of platforming brain-teasers. Unhappily, what fun there is is undermined by squirrelly jumping controls and an overabundance of too-similar levels.

A fine enough way to pass the time but after the initial appeal wears off the game is not very memorable. Not sure what it's going for on the app store, but it's worth a buck or two if you're interested. Full Review »
