    A very good fighting game, with nice graphics, finely tuned touch controls and a lot of Marvel charachters. Sadly, you need to be online even for the single player mode.

    While the gameplay may be repetitive and a bit on the shallow side, Marvel Contest of Champions looks darn good while doing so!

    If you’re looking for complex moves or the kind of variety that wildly different fighters can provide, it will be too shallow to hold your interest for long. But if you’re just looking for something that’s fun and accessible, or have just been waiting for Marvel to give us an alternative to the DC-powered mobile version of Injustice: Gods Among Us, Contest of Champions is a super game to add to your collection.

    If you're looking for a Marvel-flavored version of the DC brawler, this is probably close enough to satisfy you, and it might even pleasantly surprise you in some ways.

    While the core gameplay grows a little samey, Marvel Contest of Champions is hugely fun and accessible, despite freemium annoyances.

    Worst cash grab I've seen yet. Disney is whoring Marvel for every cent they got.

    - Barely any heroes (15 or so, with 4 discernible models and recycled attack and special attack animations.)
    - Insanely unfair odds (paying doesn't always mean you'll get what you paid for) and you will constantly get baited with "close calls" when opening champion crystals.
    - DULL gameplay, even for freemium standards. It roughly took me 48hrs to get bored with it. On the other hand you hit paywall first minute in.
    - Nothing about this game is any fun. It's literally void of anything that would justify its existence other than to pimp out marvel characters to dumb children with credit card information.    … Full Review »
