In the beginning I absolutely hated this game! It was impossible to get a decent character without spending money, there was lag even when on wifi, there were glitching issues. It seems they fixed some, not all, of the issues. There is a higher chance at getting high star characters, but its complete luck. I hope they keep it going in the right direction.

A Marvel Studios az aranykorát éli, ez nem is lehet kérdés.

A Marvel Studios az elmúlt tíz éves kemény, kitartó, mesterien felépített munkájával örök érvényűen beírta magát a filmes történelembe, ezzel szerintem senki sem vitatkozhat. A Marvel Studios az elmúlt tíz éves kemény, kitartó, mesterien felépített munkájával örök érvényűen beírta magát a filmes történelembe, ezzel szerintem senki sem vitatkozhat.

The one IOS game I actually play regularly. The game has come a long way in 4 years. It started out as a humble little game but expanded to something a lot bigger than that. There is a pretty dedicated community surrounding the game now. Still could use improvements, but otherwise pretty solid title.

This game was really good actually. I loved they way characters were found in a crystal and how they were upgraded. The challenges were really tough though

Worst cash grab I've seen yet. Disney is whoring Marvel for every cent they got.

    - Barely any heroes (15 or so, with 4 discernible models and recycled attack and special attack animations.) - Insanely unfair odds (paying doesn't always mean you'll get what you paid for) and you will constantly get baited with "close calls" when opening champion crystals. - DULL gameplay, even for

    - Nothing about this game is any fun. It's literally void of anything that would justify its existence other than to pimp out marvel characters to dumb children with credit card information.

I want to like this game, I really do. Unfortunately, it is designed to be one of the worst kinds of "FREEMIUM" models I've seen. If this game were a $20 one-time purchase that granted you access to all modes/characters, it would be a worthwhile investment. However, that is not how it is structured.

The roster is nice and consistently growing over time; despite a good number of characters being palette swaps (ex: Winter Soldier & Punisher). Unfortunately, obtaining characters is a chore that is designed to break you down and tempt you to buy character crystals. But can you buy the characters you want? No. You buy crystals that give you a chance at a character that inevitably will end up burning you and stealing your actual money.

If you play Versus, it is horrible. The game does not put you against opponents with the same level of characters that you possess. Instead, they start you off against people who are absolute cakewalks and slowly builds up to opponents who have characters so far beyond yours that you have to hit them 90 times before they hit you 10 times to win. It's ridiculous, unfun, repetitive, and designed to wear you down. You can always compete in tournaments for characters by playing this Versus option, but you would literally have to play every 2 hours every day for 3-7 days (depending on the tournament) and even then you only get meager rewards.

Avoid this.. It's a black hole of wasted potential

Total cashgrab. Very frustrating. Too hard to get characters; and the tournaments are stupid. The game gives you endless amount of in-game gold that is completely worthless and it gives you duplicates of characters you already have. Not as fun as Injustice.

Don't play this garbage. This game COULD have been good if Kabam wasn't out for your MONEY. Seriously.... can the crystals ever give anything good?!? This game is a time consuming, pisspoor excuse for a freemium title. AVOID!!

Time for an honest review of this game! Full disclosure, I am a hopeless Marvel Fanboy and I will give just about any Marvel License a chance, probably more than I should. Having said that, this game while absolutely beautiful, is the worst kind of Freemium game out there. I have many gripes with this game, but allow me to break down the most egregious of them down point by point:

Time for an honest review of this game! Full disclosure, I am a hopeless Marvel Fanboy and I will give just about any Marvel License a chance, probably more than I should. Having said that, this game while absolutely beautiful, is the worst kind of Freemium game out there. I have many gripes with this game, but allow me to break down the most egregious of them down point by point:

    1. A game is only as good as the company that stands behind it and Kabaam is probably one of the worst out there. Just go to the BBB site and look at the 1200+ complaints they have. If thats not enough, visit their forums and read through the countless posts of unhappy players. Their communication is poor, their implementation of updates are riddled with bugs and glitches and worst of all they selectively enforce their own TOS which often results in players getting away with cheating and exploiting.

    2. The game constantly crashes and often brought down for 'emergency maintenance' during timed events. While this doesnt seem like that big of a deal as many games suffer from this, the result is often losing your progress (win streak), not being able to play at peak times or worse, having to spend units to regain HP from a fight that never took place (Alliance quests). While units can be earned in-game, they are the currency which can be purchased with real money so it often means spending actual cash to replenish.

    3. Kabaam has a reward structure that demands you spend a significant amount of money and/or time to achieve their top rank rewards. As of the time of this written review, only the top 400 players (out of 10,000s of active players) win the top reward. This translates to literally having to spend 10-12 hours A DAY of nonstop playing to rank high enough or spend HUNDREDS of real US dollars to refresh your top team enough to win. Even hardcore players cringe at the thought of doing this week after week... Even the consolation prizes require 3-4 hours of nonstop play a day to even have a chance to qualify.

    4. There is a disturbing lack of diversity represented from an otherwise very diverse Disney/Marvel alliance. Both companies have demonstrated their commitment to including minorities of all shapes and sizes in what they do. Kabam, on the other hand, only release characters that are white, robots, or ethnic characters with their face and body covered with armor/costume. As of the time of this review, there is only one discernible black character and one gay character in the entire game. You scroll through the champions avatars and its row after row of white faces...

    5. The game is VERY repetitive and requires little to no strategy other than swipe, tap, tap, tap, swipe. I have literally fell asleep playing this game on multiple occasions as its just the same thing over and over again... Because there are only a handful of unique moves and specials, many of the characters are just reskins of other characters. For example, Punisher and Winter Solider are identical in game play, only very minor tweaks set them apart but there is practically no difference otherwise.

I was initially going to give a score of zero, but two things this game has going for it. One, its Marvel and we all love these characters and two, the art and graphics are some of the best Ive ever seen for this kind of game. Its truly is beautiful which is one of the main reasons its such a shame that it cant be managed better. These are the reasons I chose to un-install the game and move on to greener pastures. I can not recommend it and suggest you either move on or wait for another Marvel game to be released by a different company.

This is one of the most obnoxiously transparent and frustrating"freemium" games I've ever played. Not only do you really have to pay for the game to advance, when you *do* pay, you discover after the fact that doing so has been effectively worthless in the game, unless you spend an incredible amount of money (i.e. over $100). Specifically, you don't buy things you might want for the game, you pay for entry into a roulette system that (purportedly) gives a chance to win something useful for the game, which it methodically fails to deliver. The experience is very much like that of a rigged carnival game. The screen shows scores of things useful to the game go by, and somehow the indicator never rests on any of them (including, once, the indicator resting on something useful, and then somehow jolting away from it afterwards.)

As background, I've never previously paid for an in-app purchase, but had a spare $40 gift card I knew I wouldn't otherwise use. I paid $5, roughly the cost of one spin, thinking I could get a character I could continue with. So close! Instead, I received a consolation character, whose tier is low enough that it is completely useless after the first 15 minutes of gameplay (literally, it now serves no purpose whatsoever). Frustrated, but thinking I must be able to get something of *some* value , I tried again. Almost! Anyway, $45 later (the last $5 was in disbelief), I was basically no better off than $45 ago.

If you don't pay, it can take several hours of gameplay to get one of the aforementioned spins. The fights are nice as kind of a mindless, pretty simple/straightforward endeavor (move left or right on a line, block, or throw a light or heavy punch). But there's no way I could spend the many hours a day mashing the single, five hit combo shared by each character, doing essentially the same, repeated sequences, as the game requires to advance,. I would pay an initial fee for a similar game that would just advance. This structure makes a game that could otherwise be entertaining feel like a waste of time. Worse, for those who do pay, it leaves a very unpleasant feeling of having been cheated.

Stay away gamer's. This game is a scambag. Sure, its Marvel and the graphics are pretty kick ass. But Kabam is a greedy greedy company. Seriously, its baffling how unfair it is. Its a game of chance, but WOW, are these chances low. You have just as much chance winning good $ on a lottery scratcher than getting a 4 star hero in a crystal, and it even costs more, to really win nothing!

Some of the sales tactics are just downright insulting. The game used to ask me to rate it all the time, but since the new updates, they don't DARE ask for such reviews from its players, because they already have the positive reviews they need to roll out these dirty updates on people who have already invested serious time and money. Don't be fooled by the game ratings, the new updates have killed this game, and if you read all the newest reviews, they'll say the same thing. Unless they're those fake, cookie-cutter submissions that the companies pay for. The repetitive game play matches poorly with the progress schedule.

I am sincerely disappointed with Marvel, I've loved all these characters for over 25 years, and wowzers, this game is just crushing to my inner child.

    - Glitchy Graphics (sure it stands out but not when your enemy character can teleport/go invisible)
    - Poor Versus Arena ranking (sure they favor new comers like me but the older players just do not stood a chance anymore)
    - Cheated by Kabam (I worked very hard in versus arena and got a rank of 25th at the conclusion of the arena; however, my rank changed after an hour to rank 26th and caused me the grand prize of a 4 star hero. Kabam asked if I can provide a screenshot - seriously who keeps a screenshot? and they can't seem to find any evidence in their system too. Which system does not keep a log of events? I blame it on the staff competency. They probably hire cheap labors as usual to rake in the profits)

This app is a complete scam. If you like being defrauded of your money then by all means get it. I bought health for my character and as a result of a glitch, of which this app has many, my character lost 3/4 of its health. So all that money spent on that health? Gone. And they won't replace the items I bought. Avoid at all costs.

If you’re looking for complex moves or the kind of variety that wildly different fighters can provide, it will be too shallow to hold your interest for long. But if you’re just looking for something that’s fun and accessible, or have just been waiting for Marvel to give us an alternative to the DC-powered mobile version of Injustice: Gods Among Us, Contest of Champions is a super game to add to your collection.
