It's not Agent 47's best performance, but as always, he gets the job done.

Hitman Go is an exciting transformation of the original concept. It's both thrilling and amusing to assassinate through a Ludo like structure. The problem solving is often advanced, but on a few occasions it's very rudimentary. Luckily one doesn't necessarily remember those scenarios. All this, combined with the game's delightful design, is why Hitman Go is a great game.

Hitman GO is a nice casual puzzler with plenty of challenge and beautiful visual design, but it didn’t really grab us. Maybe you’ll feel differently.

Hitman GO might not be broad in its scope, it might be a relatively straightforward puzzle game at heart, but it's still clever, cute and creative in quite a few ways, so much so that I don't really want to spoil some of the surprises it introduces as you make progress. Perhaps most importantly, it's loyal to its forefathers by upholding the tradition that the best of the Hitman games have displayed: it makes killing a pleasure.

A surprisingly successful mobile spin-off that uses the key elements of Hitman to good effect but remains perfectly playable to those new to the franchise.

With a smart learning curve - it's still throwing new ideas at you well over 30 levels in - and an absolute barrel-load of content, I could call Hitman GO the surprise of the year. I'd only be doing that for hyperbole purposes, though. It's still pretty damn good.

Hitman GO is not a boardgame nor a particularly compelling facsimile of one, beyond the tokens and the boards. But the game succeeds for sticking to the aesthetics of its inspiration, and moving on as the game and platform demands.

    It's a game you'll often stumble through like a botched hit. [Issue#249, p.77]

Agent 47 might have shed a few layers of decidedly hardcore mechanics and that leaves Hitman GO feeling a little misplaced.

It's a fashionable example of something that isn't very interesting. The Hitman license is used here to good, if slightly limited, effect. It's just not enough to make me like something that a lot of players like myself finds fundamentally frustrating, and, moreover, just boring.

It has a very stylized look and manages to be very reminiscent of the Hitman series's themes. Let there be no confusion, this is a puzzle game. All of the levels require the player to approach each level differently than the previous one. It comes with loads of content, each with different locations. This game is well worth the money. 10/10 Full Review »

It's visual style and gameplay represents the core Hitman experience in an excellent mobile puzzler. I really hope Square Enix continues to make mobile games out of established franchises, because games like this and the excellent Deus Ex: The Fall are some of my favourite mobile games ever.
