Is Forget-Me-Not better than Pac-Man? I'm not sure I'd go that far. But it's one of the best iPhone games I've seen, and I enthusiastically recommend it.

Add a dash of Rogue, a large helping of Pac-Man, and you have the recipe for addictive arcade action.

This game is just incredible. Every regular readers knows that I'm a retro nut, and Forget-Me-Not has retro goodness in droves.

The action quickly gets insane, though a trio of modes can help vary the game, depending on what sort of challenge you desire.

A retro game that combines classic Pac Man game mechanics with shooting... in a truly authentic old-school style.

It's dripping with retro goodness but doesn't bank on nostalgia to provide a compelling experience. An all around excellent game.

A great little retro arcade game – and I mean arcade in the truest sense. This feels like something that could have been made in the 1980′s and just recently unearthed. This is 'retraux' in incredibly fine form, and well worth checking out for fans of arcade games and fans of retro-styled games.

The game's out of control, to put it mildly.

Forget-Me-Not isn't just a tribute. The charming twist to the Pac-Man mechanics is simply brilliant and the last update adds some kind of variety to the mix. It's a shame that swipe controls are so slow in the hardest moments of the game.

As an experiment in making a genuine retro game, and as a tribute to a forgotten title of yore, Forget-Me-Not is brilliant. But as a 2011 release, even with rose-tinted spectacles firmly applied, it's much harder to recommend.

Chances are, the first hour or two of playing a game, especially a game of performance or skill, gives a good indicator of what to expect from a game. Take Forget-me-not, a game that looks like a Pac-Man clone with the exception that you shoot lasers when moving - one might think that after an hour of gobbling pellets and dodging baddies, one would have a good sense of the entirety of the package. In this case, scratch that, as the perception of it being another Pac-Man clone threw me off the scent of Forget-me-not altogether. I was entirely ready to write this game off, a game that had received rather high Metacritic scores across the board. What were those guys thinking? Well, it turns out that once I forgot all about Pac-Man, Forget-me-not blossomed into a fantastic game of challenge, strategy, and adictively chasing the high score. Full Review »
