    Final Fantasy V is a bit of a step back from FFIV in terms of plot and story arc, but it makes up for it in terms of gameplay. The jobs system is a great touch and creates a genuine bond with the characters as you try different skills and learn new abilities. You’ll quickly ignore the collect-the-crystals, save-the-universe stuff and focus on the funny jokes, inventive enemies andFinal Fantasy V is a bit of a step back from FFIV in terms of plot and story arc, but it makes up for it in terms of gameplay. Overall, it’s a 7/10 for me: It’s an entertaining adventure that’s obviously good value for money at 35-40 hours, but lacks the memorable story, characters and drama of other instalments in the franchise.     It's always hard to review these classic FF titles on iOS because they're always essentially ports of ports of the originals. Just as was the case with the previously released iOS ports, Final Fantasy V is a no-brainer if you're an RPG fan and have not had the pleasure of playing it.

    This is an overall well executed port of a great game, a game that would go on to inspire the famed job system in Final Fantasy Tactics. If you’re a fan of the original release or a fan of JRPGs in general, you will likely find something to enjoy in Final Fantasy V.
