Easily the best game that SquareEnix has released for the App Store. If you're a huge Final Fantasy fan, or if you just happen to love old-school RPGs, then it's easily worth price of admission.

If you have an iPad and you're looking for an RPG to wear down your 10-12 hour battery quickly then look no further than Square Enix's Final Fantasy III. It's tough, fun, easy to use and presented in the best possible way on the iPad.

An old school rpg that's long lasting, beautiful and better than the twice as expensive DS version.

This is a great remake which make the most of the iPhone features, but most people will find it overpriced.

This is a game dedicated to the biggest fans of a certain class of experiences that until very recently was thought could not exist in IOS systems.

Despite the cost, though, Final Fantasy III is an impressive journey that successfully mixes old style RPGs with newer design and controls. For long term fans of the series and those who are curious about classic RPGs this is a must.

The price may scare off most people, but it happens to be one of the better titles on the platform.

It is very old school in its approach and doesn't ease you in gently. With 30 hours of gameplay on offer though, RPG fans would be mad to overlook it however. It's a tremendous piece of gaming history and still holds up well to this day.

If you're a hardcore fan of the Final Fantasy series it's hard not to recommend this title, but casual fans will need to consider if they're interested in a serious 'retro' JRPG challenge.

If you're prepared to deal with some of the old-school RPG trappings contained in Final Fantasy III, then you'll likely find it one of the best role-playing experiences in the App Store. But if you're mostly used to newer RPGs and the advancements that have come with them over the years, then Final Fantasy III may be too retro for your taste.

Those of you that loved the DS version of the game will appreciate the improved visuals and portability, especially considering how poorly implemented DS backwards compatibility is on the 3DS.

Square Enix's iOS iteration of a role-playing classic is a slick upgrade on its predecessors, but this remastered port does show its age.

Good virtual controls and easy-going gameplay make Final Fantasy III a recommended role-playing adventure.

If you're a diehard fan of console-style Japanese RPGs, and especially old Final Fantasy games, the steep price might not be enough to off put you from an otherwise solid and lengthy adventure.

An incredible value for a very high price, especially if compared with the App Store average. FF III always in your pocket is surely tempting, but you'll have to spend way too much to get it.

A very long game, offering dozens of hours of gameplay. However, it's also one of the most expensive games on the App Store at the time of this writing. Final Fantasy nuts have probably already picked this one up, but others should wait until the inevitable price drop.

A plus-sized adventure at a plus-sized price. If you are a Final Fantasy fan and have yet to try this entry in the series, then by all means, make the download.

I thoroughlyLet me start by saying that I did not play Final Fantasy 3 on the DS. So to me, this is fresh original content. And fresh it is. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and everything it does. It eludes back into an era of rpgs that i miss and fear will soon be extinct. I can say with all honestly that I am enjoying this game more than any rpg i have played since Dragon Quest VIII. Though, this game certainly is not for everyone.

This is a classic rpg. Though i must say with all honesty, the updated graphics and iphone additions makes it feel a lot less archaic than many game reviewers are making it out to be. The world is lush and pretty, the towns are vibrant, and the people inhabiting said towns always have something useful to say. This game, does not feel archaic to me at all. This is because i love the turn based rpg formula though, and turn based battle systems.

Go to town. Talk to everyone. Search town high and low for new items. Upgrade weapons and armor. Grind on way to next town. Repeat. Throw in a dungeon here and there, a few airships, a few bosses and an admittedly weak plot, and you have Final Fantasy 3. It does nothing new, but it does everything well.

If turn based rpgs are not your cup of tea, dont bother with this game. If you are a fan of Squaresoft and turn based rpgs, get this game. Assuming that is, you have not played it previously on the DS. tl;dr

I like turn based rpgs. This is a great turn based rpg. Not for everyone. If you are new to the genre, dont bother. But if you were new to the genre, you wouldn't be reading this, would you?
