Let me start by saying that I did not play Final Fantasy 3 on the DS. So to me, this is fresh original content. And fresh it is. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and everything it does. It eludes back into an era of rpgs that i miss and fear will soon be extinct. I can say with all honestly that I am enjoying this game more than any rpg i have played since Dragon Quest VIII. Though, this game certainly is not for everyone.

This is a classic rpg. Though i must say with all honesty, the updated graphics and iphone additions makes it feel a lot less archaic than many game reviewers are making it out to be. The world is lush and pretty, the towns are vibrant, and the people inhabiting said towns always have something useful to say. This game, does not feel archaic to me at all. This is because i love the turn based rpg formula though, and turn based battle systems.

Go to town. Talk to everyone. Search town high and low for new items. Upgrade weapons and armor. Grind on way to next town. Repeat. Throw in a dungeon here and there, a few airships, a few bosses and an admittedly weak plot, and you have Final Fantasy 3. It does nothing new, but it does everything well.

If turn based rpgs are not your cup of tea, dont bother with this game. If you are a fan of Squaresoft and turn based rpgs, get this game. Assuming that is, you have not played it previously on the DS. tl;dr

I like turn based rpgs. This is a great turn based rpg. Not for everyone. If you are new to the genre, dont bother. But if you were new to the genre, you wouldn't be reading this, would you?

Though it has a big price tag, the sheer amount of ciontent jammed packed into this title makes it worth it. Even if you just do the bare-bone requirements that it takes from beginning to end, you put in a MASSIVE amount of hours into completing this game, and the whole game is so well done, that not an hour will feel wasted

Final fantasy 3 brought back from the library of retro slumber, and now with new graphics, still the magical feel off nostalgia, and a beefy adventure to match. Final fantasy 3 is one of squares finest outings, and one thing for sure it's quite a challenge, the price may seem a little steep, compared to other titles on the app store, but this is not just any other game, as this wasFinal fantasy 3 brought back from the library of retro slumber, and now with new graphics, still the magical feel off nostalgia, and a beefy adventure to match. I'm sick of reading reviews saying 'if you don't like the old school RPGs you're not going to like this.' That's alazy tautology, along the lines of 'if you like this kind of thing then this is the kind of thing you'll like.' If you don't like school RPGs usually, then this will be the one that changes your mind. Because it's that good. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Great old-school RPG adapted for iOS.
Touch controls instead of on screen buttons-only make it smooth to play.

Can't wait to see Final Fantasy VI ported to iOS as well!

This is a great game. There is a great world to explore, interesting characters and many other very positive mechanics. However, it is hard, and when I mean hard I mean extremely hard. You can easily get stuck on a boss for a long time. I'm actually am stuck on a boss at this moment It is a wonderful game, just be ready.

If you have an iPad and you're looking for an RPG to wear down your 10-12 hour battery quickly then look no further than Square Enix's Final Fantasy III. It's tough, fun, easy to use and presented in the best possible way on the iPad.

If you're a diehard fan of console-style Japanese RPGs, and especially old Final Fantasy games, the steep price might not be enough to off put you from an otherwise solid and lengthy adventure.

An old school rpg that's long lasting, beautiful and better than the twice as expensive DS version.
