Feb 25, 2011id have tried to fix the control problems of FPSs on the iPhone and have succeeded by removing movement all together. The game is a little pricey, but you'll get your money's worth.
-
Feb 25, 2011Don't judge DOOM Resurrection simply because it's "on-rails." It's actually an incredibly engaging and fun game that was truly made specifically for the iPhone. Yes, at $9.99 it's a bit pricy, but that's a worthy price to pay for one of the iPhone's best games.
-
Games Master UKFeb 25, 2011Excellent use of the Doom universe in a style that suits phones. [Sept 2009, p.83]
-
Feb 25, 2011Going to an on-rails format may be blasphemy to some, but Doom Resurrection still makes for a solid shooter.
-
Feb 25, 2011Doom Resurrection whets the appetite with hard-hitting action and pretty graphics, though is starved of any lasting value.
-
Feb 25, 2011An enjoyable diversion for a couple of hours, but lacking in depth or replayability to warrant serious consideration.
-
Feb 25, 2011A strangely admirable bore: smart enough to take direct movement out of your hands, but not quite smart enough to find anything suitably enjoyable to replace it with. Never less than earnest, Doom Resurrection ignores the central lesson of much horror fiction: there are certain things you probably shouldn't do, even if you can.
