This game is obviously made for non-gamers that don't know about any of the psychologial tactics being employed here to get them to spend money. And this game uses ALL of the tactics.

The first few hours of the game is redicilously easy as you can facetank any of the bosses mega attacks and lose about 3% of your character's health if you do so.

This is ofcourse on purpose as later in the game you will face content that is progressively harder and the game will literally tell you how much weaker you are and will punish you for it by reducing Your damage and increase the enemies damage. Untill you "power up" and the warning disappears.
That's right; The game doesn't let YOU figure out your limit by pushing harder. All to make make sure you don't feel bad when you die in game.

However. If you DO pay money for strength you will progress faster, but that just means you will reach the next wall faster aswell. So.. I mean. Ok?

As far as content goes, the game opens up the more main story you complete, and alot of the overwhelming amount of cash shop items eventually start to make sense.

The graphics are amazing. It is a very well made game but it doesn't have that gear progression of older Diablo titles where farming certain areas or bosses was the way to go to get stronger.

It's more like an on-rails kind of mobile game that we have seen many many times before. Just made using better graphics and ALL the psychological tactics.

Because of the psychological tactics used and the dumbing down of gameplay elements that only serves as to encourage people to visit the cash shop I can't recommend this to anyone as doing so could mean this type of game keeps getting made. (Instead of real actual games)

However, the type of gamer that plays into the hands of Blizzard and other mobile games like this aren't the type of person who will read reviews or watch content about how the community feels so in a way I guess this review is kind of pointless.

But if you do come across this review just know that this game is primarily a wallet-warrior type of game and not a skill-based kind of game.

    Don't play.

This game had potential but is just a casino and mindless combat. Blizzard isn't shy about how this game will be riddled with microtransactions and P2W intentions. This is a sad state of a beloved franchise.

The game is good but PayToWin doesn't.
The game looks very good. I like all in game, all enviroments, all sounds, all animations. I play on PC as the Diablo3. But the system named PayToWin is killing full of the Game.
Play this game to The End of plot and than Deinstall this game. That is only one good decition.

The way this game is monetized is so obscene and evil, the name Diablo is becoming more literal than ever before. Blizzard continues its fall from grace. Also the game has some horrible controls on PC. Really boring and generic story. Even if they fix this I will never download this again.

Blizzard might as well be casino game company now. They don't even make videogames anymore, only something for us to gamble on.

A pay to win game, on PC. You need to cash out roughly 100.000 € to max your character. This is absolute madness. Blizzard, I didn't think you could fall even further.

The game is, even aside from that, not good. Graphics are a joke, gameplay is behind Diablo 3 and there are many bugs and connectivity problems. It's a low effort Cashgrab. Exactly what the diablo fans back at Blizzcon

From blizzard, I was waiting for diablo 3 to be able to play on the phone. I was even ready to pay full price for it. $70. But I'm definitely not ready to spend 10 years or $110,000 just to max out in this patch. This is not diablo. This is Chinese pay2win wrapped by diablo. And we were also told that donation is not required in the game.

Whale hunting at its finest. Blizzard has sunk even lower than I thought previously possible. a Sad, sad day for a once beloved company.

This is not the same company that gave us :
    Warcraft 2
    Blackthorne
    Diablo II
    StarCraft

    Diablo Immortal is filth.

Abysmal P2W. If this mobile shenanigans makes its way to mainstream PC games, you might want to search for a different hobby.

I was literally waiting on this game for the past 3 years.

I can say it now that the game is out : screw blizzard, i will never play another game from them. Full p2w games are trash. You will have to spend a lot, and the marketing is aimed at new players in the genre. Journalists will gargarise actimoney but us, real player, still have the right to speak our minds (thank god) Do not

Pay to win to the point of even a moderately pay to win player won't get anywhere really in the 'end game'. Complete waste of time to play this game (even if one isn't a F2P) beyond L25 to L30 without putting significant amounts of money into it.

Better odds /rewards at just going to a casino & putting your money into a slot machine.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have been playing this game since closed Bata and I'm not impressed with all the monetization in this game. This is not the blizzard I have grown up with since the beginning. Not a game I can play with this much dirty tactics to milk out every penny they can. Expand

Boring and horribly monetised reskinned arpg with Diablo 3 assets. Don't waste your time.

I am absolutely disgusted by Blizzard and their horrible business practises. RIP the company we used to love. For shame.

Pure pay to win! Start only if you are ready to pay 100s $ to have fun.
Sadly the game is otherwise a nice mobile game (not compared not a real PC game) or else I would not be so mad....

Game is pretty much just a stat check all around, bosses are so one-dimensionally boring that Blizzard should just add a payment option to skip them since Blizzard pretty much forces you to spend money for needed upgrades.

Is the game P2W? If you consider selling your kidney to afford progression in end game, the answer is yes. But don't worry! Hospitals pay you for blood donations. But if you start getting light-headed take a break.

Please ignore the shill media reviews. All those positive critic reviews are bought and paid for. The pay-to-win nonsense is a complete disgrace. Spend your $ anywhere else.

Installed. Payed for aka monthly subscription for more rewards, and the first (cheapest) loot box where you (lol and behold) SAVE 500+%. Played for 2 days. Deleted. Boring, cash grabbing garbage. It is not even a game.

Une véritable honte d'avoir réduit cette magnifique licence en pay to win. On prend du plaisir pendant 20 minutes sur ce Diablo 3.5, pas plus.

One of the most greedy games I've seen. It's almost comical how predatory the monetization system is.

I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game. To see it submit to mobile gaming's worst tendencies, rather than make any effort to be different, to be better, is galling. It may be flashy and efficient as both a Diablo game and a mobile game, but Immortal offers little that is bold, ambitious or innovative. Instead, its structure and pacing is designed with one goal in mind: to squeeze as much cash out of every player as it can. [Issue#374, p.110]

It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
