Repetitive gameplay , with multiple fetch quests.
The p2w grind starts after lvl 30 onwards. Then the casino is open for gems. Predatory game made by a greedy out of touch company. They should ban this game for children.. shame on Blizzard.

I've never seen such an egregious display of predatory monetization then in Diablo Immortal. This is not a Diablo Game, this is a scam with a Diablo 3 skin. It's so bad it makes me sick. I won't buy a Blizzard product ever again. Slap in the face to decades old fans of the franchise like me.

Yes, I have a phone. No, I still don't want a Diablo game that is reduced to being a competition of who gambles away the most money.

I cant even imagine the time and math involved to figure out to how to absolutely milk every single penny from any potential player as Blizzard does.

If you support them in any way and waste money, stop.

Pay 2 win scam! Don't support this **** This should be illegal. Blizzard really droped the ball on this one.

This game deserves a title "Trash of the Year" because many problems. The first day release, no PC version, insulting players, parodied UI/UX of a garbage Chinese mobile game. Now it has a beta, just another trash lootbox mobile game. This game doesn't even deserve the name "Diablo", such an insult for the fanchise.

Totally pay to win, there comes a time when you need to use paid items to get good stuff, or spend a lifetime farming if you're going to try to go free. Impractical

    - The most predatory gambling system I've ever seen
    - PC port is just a mobile emulation. Embarassing.

Kinda fun but micro transaction city. Don't buy this if you have any addictive personality traits. It will get you.

A solid Diablo game ruined by loot box, multiple currencies, levels that can be upgraded by bought currencies.

Sadly, I'm disappointed with Diablo Immortal and Blizzard. After spending about 30 hours in the game, I'm frustrated because this could have been a really awesome game if it wasn't to awful, predatory practices Blizzard implemented.

Sadly, I'm disappointed with Diablo Immortal and Blizzard. After spending about 30 hours in the game, I'm frustrated because this could have been a really awesome game if it wasn't to awful, predatory practices Blizzard implemented.

    - Forced multiplayer ruins the experience. You walk around and see other players that bring no value to your gameplay, but you have to wait for your screen to load all of them around. It occasionally causes lag spikes, especially when a player is fighting "shadows" (quest mobs that they can see but you can't). It's the first Diablo game that doesn't allow you to enjoy the game the way you like, but instead forces you into the pseudo-open-world, MMO-like experience, where you loose quality only so that you can see other players that fill half of your screen and bring nothing valuable to the gameplay. Mobs spawn when you talk to NPCs breaking your dialogues.
    - Noise, noise everywhere. Chatbox is basically a Spambox for all companies who are trying to sell you things. A significant part of your UI is there only to promote the online shop and buying online currencies.
    - Microtransactions are simply awful. Finished a dungeon? How about you spend a buck so you'll get 8x the reward and you don't have to grind another one? You can pay as much as for the triple game and to get a lot of items, but it's still not enough to complete your character. So you have to spend more, and more, and more...

    Good sides of the game?
+ Interesting options to build your character in a fun and interesting way (unfortunately, to get those, you have to either mindlessly grind or pay money to have a chance of getting what you want)
+ Graphics are amazing for a mobile game.

This superb mobile game is ruined by visible and hidden caps and essentially compels you to spend money to progress in end game leveling. I don't mind microtransactions for those who can spend money, but they shouldn't be the only way to progress without slowing to a crawl. Diablo is about grinding, let us grind FFS.

I think I don't even have to add much, everyone knows why I give it 0 Points.
But I just needed to help getting the Score even further down as a message to all Publishers out there.
We don't want this mobile game P2W trash in our "real" games and Diablo is a franchise that initially wasn't mobile. The sad thing is they could 've released it as a regular full price game and I would've

The sad thing is they could 've released it as a regular full price game and I would've bought it and definitely enjoyed it. But this here is just a crime and nothing else.
I also don't get how some people put up excuses for the P2W system. It divides paying players from non paying players by a long shot. And it again takes advantage of people who can't control themselves and will likely pay thousands to ten thousands of dollars in it because the P2W is also not direct but you have to gamble for getting really good stuff.
    This is just immoral.
Also the game itself is like a worse version of Diablo 3: Less classes, less build variety, less simultaneously usable skills and the controls feel kinda clunky

Micro-transaction ridden insult to the Diablo franchise - boring busywork without any challenge, with a unfulfilling grind of an endgame, either through months of boring rifts to gear, or swiping a credit card a few hundred times.

Terrible microtransactions. The difference in the rate of progression when playing for free compared to the rate of progression when spending money is obscene. Paying money gets you sooooo much more that it makes the game stupid.

This is not a pc game. This is a modern cassino cow cash game designed to lure the young and fragile into high addiction. This time this company has gone far enough and should be punished somehow. This is utterly predatory and even damage the reputation of other companies who benefit from lightly pay to win games. Blizzard had become the lowest of the low. Shame.

Put thousands of hours into D3. Leader boards and such. I would have to spend thousands of dollars to pay this game to that level. Pathetic attrocity. I hope this company gets what's coming to them.

If we remove the cash shop decision the game itself is well done for a mobile game. Also being able to play it on PC as well is a plus.

However the sick and disgusting psychological manipulation tactics they use is disturbing. If Blizzard is allowed to get away with this, this will only get worse as other companies will join in on this practice. I really do hope that laws can be changed

I really do hope that laws can be changed to stop this imo evil practice in video games and allow gaming to go back to the roots of what games were made for. To have fun and enjoy yourself in the moment by escaping reality. However the course that the gaming industry is taken is causing the complete opposite to happen.

The Blizzard we all knew and loved has been dead for years. Diablo Immortal, though plays well, is designed to make you pay money. It'll either cost you $110k real money, or take 10 years to get fully a fully geared character. Just avoid garbage like this.

Diablo Immortal has had an uphill battle ever since its reveal at Blizzcon which spawned countless memes about an out of season April Fool’s Joke and “Do you not have phones?” Perhaps the better question to ask is “Do you not have a credit or debit card?”

Diablo Immortal has had an uphill battle ever since its reveal at Blizzcon which spawned countless memes about an out of season April Fool’s Joke and “Do you not have phones?” Perhaps the better question to ask is “Do you not have a credit or debit card?”

Immortal might have been a decent Diablo game. It is mechanically sound and technically competent. It’s nice they got some of the old voice actors to return. But that’s also part of the problem in that they are banking on nostalgia. Unfortunately, any good is buried under some of the most excessive and egregious monetizations I have ever seen in a video game, mobile or otherwise. Yes, free-to-play games need some form of monetization. But Immortal’s is such that progress is heavily gated behind pay 2 win, especially in the end game. It speaks volumes that this game has 76 on Metacritic and that some outlets have noted they were playing builds with the monetization disabled.

The monetization runs the gamut from loot boxes, expensive cosmetics ($25) skins, timers, and a gacha pity system. If that weren’t bad enough? You have marketing like “800%” value or timed “Deals” preying on FOMO or fear of missing out.

The biggest issue is the legendary gems. You have rare and legendary crests that require running a dungeon to open them. Rare crests have a low chance to drop legendary gems but these are capped at 2/5 stars. Legendary crests yield 3-5 star gems.

    1 star capped – 75%
    2 star capped – 20%
    2/5 star – 3.75%
    3/5 star – 1%
    4/5 star – 0.20%
    5/5 star – 0.05%

As you can see the drop rate falls off significantly which means players are increasingly pushed towards purchasing upgrades with real money. The pity system supposedly allows for every 50 legendary crests to yield one guaranteed 5-star gem. The $100 bundle of currency only gets you 45 crests however which is yet another tactic of mobile like monetization.

Some estimates have calculated that a “final” build in Diablo Immortal is between $40,000-$100,000 to fully max everything. This as you can see presents a problem where a free-to-play player will never keep pace with someone who buys everything. Especially where PVP is concerned.

Diablo Immortal perhaps should have been called Diablo Immoral. If you truly want a Diablo experience? Pick up Diablo 2 Resurrected or Diablo 3. Especially if you have a Switch. You pay $60 and will ultimately get more for your money than any of Immoral’s insidious microtransactions will offer. Send this one back to the depths of hell from whence it came.

Instead of playing Diablo Immortal, go into your Spam folder and just give your credit card information away to anyone that asks. You'd be less of a sucker, and would probably lose less money.

Basically plays and looks like a Diablo 3 copy/paste with less options and abilities. Extremely pay to win, like laughably so. I’d recommend people new to the franchise to not waste their time on this game and play either D2 or D3.

I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game. To see it submit to mobile gaming's worst tendencies, rather than make any effort to be different, to be better, is galling. It may be flashy and efficient as both a Diablo game and a mobile game, but Immortal offers little that is bold, ambitious or innovative. Instead, its structure and pacing is designed with one goal in mind: to squeeze as much cash out of every player as it can. [Issue#374, p.110]

It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
