Apr 19, 2011The characters and world that Aidem Media has created are great, easily on par with some of the more memorable characters of adventure games of old. If this is what we can expect from this company, color me excited to see what they do with a sequel.

Jan 21, 2026It's pretty to look at, and the puzzles are so-so (some are patently obvious; others require the fortunately-included help system to EVER figure out). Just don't expect too much out of it. There may yet be room in America for Rex the Dog and Mr. Moles, but City of Secret wasn't the best way to introduce them.

Jan 21, 2026If you can get over the fact that you might be using hints often, even if you're an old hand at adventure games, City of Secrets offers a few hours of cute 'n' clever entertainment at a respectable price, though younger kids will probably get the most out of it.

Apr 29, 2011Unfortunately, it also features some of the things that remind us why adventure games fell out of the mainstream, with tedious fetch quests, aggravating scenarios and a spirit-crushing trash-sorting mini-game conspiring to gradually strip the joy out of it all.

Apr 19, 2011City of Secrets is attractive and welcoming to newcomers, but the plodding story, forgettable characters, weak puzzles, and atrocious voice-acting ensure it's destined to stay a secret.
