    Call of Duty: Strike Team is an amazing hybrid of two great gaming styles that just works on the mobile format. It may not fully capture the experience one gets from a console Call of Duty game, but it does pretty damn well on its own.

    There's a lot to love with Strike Team, but I think the most important thing it nails is that simple feeling of playing a Call of Duty game.

    The aiming controls are a little finicky in first-person mode, and the tactical view is limited in the types of commands you can give, so neither option would have really been strong enough to carry the game alone. But when combined and given the option to switch between them at will, Call of Duty: Strike Team finds a balance that offers the spectacle you'd expect from the series in a way that feels natural on a smartphone or tablet.

    The blend of FPS and RTS mechanics in a single game is a nice experiment, and even if both sides have some issues, switching between them in real time is definitely a fun and satisfying experience.

    Call of Duty: Strike Team's unique blend of FPS and 3rd-person strategy makes it one of the most interesting entries in the franchise. It doesn't quite nail the balance, however, and probably won't completely satisfy fans of either genre.

    Call of Duty: Strike Team is overall a decent title, but considering the price of almost €6, the absence of a multiplayer mode and the lack of customization and choice of weapons, the shortcomings are certainly considerable.

The strategic top down mode adds a ton to the gameplay and strategy to the missions which is really fun to use. The survival missions add a lot of replay value and are really fun. The game does lack multiplayer which a lot of people will be surprised by considering this is COD but the game wouldn't really be suited to multiplayer anyway and is very focused on the single player experience which is excels at.… Full Review »
