Bioshock for iOS isn’t perfect, and I can understand the hesitance from those that may have already played it before. But for newcomers, it’s still an experience that needs to be taken.

Only recommended for those who haven’t played the game on PC or console. The iOS port is good, but if you’ve played the original Bioshock before, you’ll feel like something’s missing.

Bioshock isn’t at the same level on iOS as other platforms, but it still delivers quite an immersive experience that makes the iOS platform a better place. It’s worth picking up for the premium price if you haven’t played Bioshock before even with subpar controls, and graphics for the involved, and intense experience to partake in.

We're still a ways off from perfecting mobile controls, it appears, and while the core product is still as engaging as ever, it needs some tweaking as far as its transition to mobile. Still, if this is the only feasible way you can experience the game, take the plunge.

Do you love Bioshock? Have you always wanted to be able to play it on the go? Well then your prayers have been answered. More or less.

Well, obviously this had to be done. Bioshock is a beautiful iShooter, but unfortunately the controls are absolutely horrible. Here we have one of the best FPS games on iPad. This tells a sad story of a genre that’s totally wrong for the platform. [Oct 2014]

If you've never played before, you can likely find cheaper and better-looking versions on consoles or computers that won't be as tough to control.

In my opinion, the original BioShock is a nearly flawless experience. It’s lacking only in a few gameplay elements that were later introduced in BioShock 2, such as dual-wielding. But in being translated to iOS and touchscreens, it loses a lot more. I

Bioshock is a marvel of intelligent storytelling, creepy atmosphere, and stunning world design. You get all that in this iOS port, but not without compromise.

Rapture is so bad that I can barely read detailed posters on the walls.

Seriously, with that graphics...i can't get a great experience. Maybe in a while you'll see Crysis 3 on ios with Mario graphics.

    I played on Iphone 5.

Aiming is a nightmare, the once beautiful graphics are no longer present, and the original clunkiness of combat is replaced with the inability to use combat effectively at all. Every good part of this game is destroyed in this version of the game and all that remains is a skeleton of what you wish you were playing. Read my review on the Xbox 360 page to see more details.
