If you don't have any way to play this on the PC, or at least on a console, then maybe this is playable for you, but I'm not sure. It's clumsy, laggy, but at the end of the day, it's still the wonderful place and story. So buyer beware.

"Experience one of the greatest shooters of all time!". Yea, this one of the great shoothers of all time..but on PC & Consoles. Rapture is so bad that I can barely read detailed posters on the walls.

Seriously, with that graphics...i can't get a great experience. Maybe in a while you'll see Crysis 3 on ios with Mario graphics.

    I played on Iphone 5.

On iOS, you’re going to encounter the same one of-a kind story that was originally available on consoles and PCs. Rapture is the same underwater dystopia you’ve come to know if you’ve played the game before, so there’s no need to worry about it being different on iOS in any way.

I´m one of those few people that never played Bioshock on neither computer nor console. So buying it for a mobile was a bit of hit or miss. It was a pure hit.
So many people gives this version a bad score because of the graphics. I give it a good score because of the game itself. Graphics or not; this is a great game with a great story to tell.

I cannot argue that this port is not what it's cracked up to be, for most users that is. I'm fortunate enough to be playing on an iPhone 6+ and the controls work better here than I would imagine on an iPad or other device. The thing I'm not hearing from other critics is how the game plays using a blutooth controller, which the game is compatible with. The thing I'm not hearing from other critics is how the game plays using a blutooth controller, which the game is compatible with. With my desire to see all the action unhindered, I may get one that grips the phone making it a more portable game machine. Still, actions such as turning require multi swipes, which interrupt the Danse Macabre that is Bioshock. I've not gotten very far, and while the graphics are said to be sub-par, it's still nice having a portable version of this game whenever I want to play. At 2+gb's in size, I won't be keeping it on my phone all the time. Expand

Not even worth considering. Aiming is a nightmare, the once beautiful graphics are no longer present, and the original clunkiness of combat is replaced with the inability to use combat effectively at all. Every good part of this game is destroyed in this version of the game and all that remains is a skeleton of what you wish you were playing. Well, obviously this had to be done. Bioshock is a beautiful iShooter, but unfortunately the controls are absolutely horrible. Here we have one of the best FPS games on iPad. This tells a sad story of a genre that’s totally wrong for the platform. [Oct 2014]

Only recommended for those who haven’t played the game on PC or console. The iOS port is good, but if you’ve played the original Bioshock before, you’ll feel like something’s missing.

Bioshock for iOS isn’t perfect, and I can understand the hesitance from those that may have already played it before. But for newcomers, it’s still an experience that needs to be taken.
