If Alien: Blackout is truly faithful to the movies, at least in its concept, it is sadly crippled with many issues. Poor story-telling, lake of ambition and under-exploited ideas are only topped by an absurd difficulty.

A tired, lackluster, and watered-down riff on the Alien series that finds players swapping from camera to camera guiding crew members through a xenomorph-ravaged space station.

Alien: Blackout’s compelling premise never evolves past the basic ideas of the first mission, nor does it inspire the same sense of dread I felt with Alien: Isolation. Those unexpected, startling vent attacks might stick with me, but Blackout doesn’t offer much more.

If it was free I'd say it's an alright FNAF style game that falls short on being scary and a lot of annoy/dumb AI. Honestly it's not worthIf it was free I'd say it's an alright FNAF style game that falls short on being scary and a lot of annoy/dumb AI. Honestly it's not worth your time or money. Has an authentic Alien feel, but gameplay gets old pretty quick and retrying an entire level is very frustrating.
