I just don't understand why people rate this game for the Gamecube so low. Okay, so it misses an online feature, but look at what's left of the game. It is a great game with lots of cool gadgets, a good storyline and it has tonns of action in it. So yeah, it doesn't have the online feature (which is great by the way) but it remains a good game. I would recommend this game to anyone who liked the first splintercell game, which didn't have an online feature at all on any console!, and to anyone who enjoys action, stealth and a great storyline. If you liked the first one, then this is a must buy. However, there's just not enough new content to interest those who didn't like the first. Also, only buy the GCN version if that's the only console you own.

Very playable game still in 2020. Splinter Cell has shaken the infiltration game world then, and this second opus keeps doing the job. And that's also the problem from my point of view : the lack of new content comparing to the previous opus (did you say Ubisoft syndrome .. ). Another thing is the very basic scenario. Far from being a bad game though, the gameplay is still solid, and theVery playable game still in 2020. 1. Cannot be called a great game, not when it treads so closely behind the footsteps of its predecessor. Still, it delivers a highly enjoyable action experience that does a ton of things right and only a few wrong.
  2. More of an expansion pack, and a solid one at that.

It's difficult to justify the price tag when the single-player campaign offers little lasting value. [Sept 2004, p.84]
