-
A highly enjoyable and tensely tuned game for any fan of tactical shooters.
-
Play MagazineThe idiotic AI cripples the gameplay to the point of ridiculous. [May 2003, p.63]
-
Game InformerA tolerable fix for "Medal of Honor" fans, but Ghost Recon will struggle to find a place with GameCube's core demographic. [May 2003, p.87]
-
Nintendo PowerA radar display shows enemy positions - unrealistic, but useful. [Apr 2003, p.134]
-
If you can ignore the many obvious flaws in the graphics and presentation there is, believe it or not, an addictive game to be had, but the numerous obvious technical problems prevent a higher score.
-
A game that has aged and rusted, some visual and technical enhancements would have raised the game value.
-
Oddly enough, I cant say that I didnt enjoy Ghost Recon when I wasnt encountering problems.
-
A great game ... just not on the GameCube.
-
The controls are decent, but FPSs just dont seem to work the best on the standard GC controller; That C stick is just too tiny.
-
This frustration carries over to just about every element of the game thanks to its poor artificial intelligence, graphical flaws, and repetitive mission objectives.
-
Its not to say I didnt have fun playing it. That, I did. However, Ghost Recon just does not stack up to the games of today.
-
Although several light years ahead of the quality present in "The Sum of All Fears," the major reason the PC original received such kudos ... -- online multiplay -- is missing.
-
Ghost Recons biggest problem is an apparent lobotomy from the PC version.
-
The menus are clean, and other elements of presentation are sufficient, but anything dependent on technical finesse -- such as computer AI, framerate, and precision controls -- is seriously lacking.
-
Cheat Code CentralThe game's biggest problem is the programming of the AI. When you assemble your team, little do you realize what idiots they all turn out to be. It's like they're all on crack or something.
