JaredF.May 27, 2004A really good game . Can i say anymore? yes I can. Due to the fact you only play a couple of dungeons its not like ocarina of time. But the stunning graphics and great gameplay make it one of the zelda series games.

CurtisG.Jul 6, 2004If you shun this (or any game) for its unrealistic graphics, you are a moron and you are nolonger allowed to play videogames lest the knives of a thousand ninjas pierce your corneas. [Ed: A little extremel?]

-
RPierceJul 7, 2004Incredible. Replay value is high and options are endless; I have played it 4 separate times, enjoying the experience on a different level each time. Highly recommended for gamers of all ages. A+

-
ClayJan 13, 2005Subtle, unique and superlative. Verging on video game as form of artistic expression reminiscent of the best subversive childrens literature. Very young boy is given a sword and and some clothes and sent out into the wide world to face truly frightening villians alone.

-
ScottJan 27, 2005This game is fun.

-
JustinB.Oct 3, 2005If you can grow up and get past the graphics, Wind Waker draws you into this creative and believable world, eventually growing into a tale with the epic feel of an excellent Legend of Zelda game.

-
MorkN.Feb 1, 2005This is the best style I'v seen in a zelda game yet or in any game in general. I hate ignorant tards who say the graphics of this game are childish and stupid. The style used in windwaker is a perfect example of what a zelda game is supposed to be like.
-
-
DittoLinkMay 20, 2005Not as good as OOT but that doesn't mean it isn't one of the best games I have ever played. The cellshading is flawless. The style fits in with the story perfectly. A better combat system than any other Zelda game. If you can't wait for the new Zelda game that will be out later this year, I suggest you buy this to pass the time. One of the best on the Cube.

-
GMMay 24, 2005The most beautiful game ever created, all flaws seem like nothing in comparson to the detail and skill that has gone into this game. Put simply, a masterpiece.

CodyK.Aug 27, 2005This is a very cool game. The graphics and animation are great and the story is not that bad, but the major downfall of this game is the pacing. The game lurches in story because of one of the most annoying and time consuming features that the game prides itself on

TimS.Apr 8, 2006The Wind Waker is easily one of my favorite games of all time. I find it to easily fit the phrase "next-gen expansion of OoT." I love nearly everything about it, including controversial aspects like the sailing.
-
-
JoshK.Jul 24, 2006Ignore the "fans" who couldn't see past the beautiful cel-shaded visuals. An ugly early stealth section and some rather easy bosses aside, this game is a treat from start to finish.

-
KevinB.Aug 2, 2006this game is so dum that what I said a 2years ago but then my cousin showed me that it was cool then I stared to enjoy it and now I am real far in the game but i have not beat it but it took me to years to love this game this game rocks.

MichaelA.Sep 14, 2006This could possibly be the greatest video game ever made! Bosses:10+, Story:10+, Gameplay:10+, Graphics:10+, Puzzles:10+, Side missions/quests:10+, Music:10+ Characters:10+, Other obstacles:10+, The places you go (islands):10= 100%. Made to perfection. (the credits theme made me cry) Booger boy lol

HarrisonS.Oct 18, 2007Incredible style, gorgeous animations, lovable characters, incredibly vast, open world with no load times, sailing, great boss battles... it's too easy, but nothing can stop this game from being one of the best of all time.

ArtinB.Feb 2, 2009this is my favorite zelda game of all time and i have played ever zelda to date. on top of that, it is also my favorite game of all time. people may complain about the sailing, but it isn't too bad, plus you get a teleportation spell. the combat is fun, best story of any zelda game, as well as music, unique design, masterful ending, and really great exploration.

-
BeauKMar 29, 2009An epic quest for all ages. Brilliant story, imense world, and clever dungeons and islands. Must Buy.
-
-
DaveB.Nov 18, 2003It's fun, it's a quality game, but it's not just a tad too childish, it's way too childish! I hope that the sequel is similar, but aimed at a broader audience.
-
-
A.W.Nov 4, 2003Pretty average. Ok, the dungeons were quite good and even though i'm against the cel-shading graphics, they are very good, but it's too short, the sailing and wind changing is one of the most tedious things i've ever done and, because of all the islands and finding maps etc., i could not be bothered doing all the side quests and mini games. 'nuff said.
-
-
SaraB.Nov 8, 2003It's really an 11 but they don't go up that high!it's the greatest game i've played since OoT! i love the cell graphics and the well there's to much that i like about the game to put it all on here!
-

GeorgioF.Feb 22, 2003i can honestly say that i have every single ZELDA game that was ever made. This game is awesome i am all over it if i could i would rate it a 17.

KirstieM.Mar 12, 2003This is a totaly amazing game. no other can beat it.
-
-
TaylorJ.Mar 16, 2003This is simply the best use of animation I have EVER seen in a game. Sure "GTA: Vice City" and "Xenosaga" were realistic but it's nothing to the crispness of "Wind Waker". It's gameplay style is the best of the series.
-
-

TomB.Apr 18, 2003When first I glimpsed Zelda's new look I was a bit apprehensive, but now that I have the game, I cannot give it anything less than a perfect score. Zelda is pure genius, and proves the gamer

AlucardM.Apr 28, 2003This is a wonderful game. I insist you to buy it if you love the other Zeldas. It has a fresh new look to it and I'm fine with it. As always it has many things to explore and find. The story is very, very good. This is my favorite game, it even beat Halo for me. BUY IT!!!

SomeoneYoudontknowJun 24, 2003People should be quiet about the cel-shading, all it does is bug us, and prevents this game (and console) from getting it's deserved creds. oh, by the way, there a neat glitch when your walking slowly up stairs.

Feb 8, 2014All praise to Nintendo for the creative art direction that really brings such character to this entry in the Zelda series. As always, the quality of gameplay and puzzling is high. The sailing will no doubt get on some people's nerves, but for me, it's all build up for the atmosphere. Play this

Feb 2, 2012The graphics are gorgeous , very gorgeous from the beginning to the end . While some stupid Zelda fans cried foul over that , they are considered the thrash in this list full of positive reviews. It looks fresh , tantalizing, impressed and pleased that Nintendo did this bold movement. The gameplay and the exploration are the main themes here. Even the sound/music is beautiful.

Feb 26, 2013Great Zelda Game. I like the whole Idea with the Sea and the Sailing and everything else is top. In the beginning I wasn´t sure about Wind Waker because of the graphics but it turned out to be a great game.
-
Jun 18, 2011Much better then I expected! Sure sailing around the ocean was tedious at times but it was part of what made the Wind Waker unique. The graphics and look of the game had it's ups and downs but it was still filled with predominately ups. Still a great game that I would recommend especially for fans of the Legend of Zelda series.
-
Oct 31, 2011one of the best games ever!!!! on par with oot and mm but very diferent, i ve played this game for more than 100 h just finishing side quests imagine how BIG is this game, it also features AMAZING visuals clean sharp with great animation a superb draw distance.....masterpiece.......haters go fawk yourself
-
May 19, 2012An epic game but could have been so much more. Less sailing would have been a lot more enjoyable and maybe better dungeons and richer story line. Saving your sister and bumping into Zelda is kind of strange. I did enjoy the art style very much though. Needed better items and better dungeons too.
-
Nov 3, 2011Such a paramount piece of my childhood. i got this game back in 2003, shortly after its release, and was quickly addicted. To this day I love picking up the game with my college buddies and exploring the Great Sea. Great story, fantastic setting, unparalleled gameplay, and fantastic music.
-
Nov 6, 2011Traveling through the Great Seas of Zelda Wind Waker shows that few games have ever had greater visuals. It is such a fun game that it made me forget about Ocarina of Time for a while. It deserves a 10 for many reasons, but none more than for its graphics and gameplay, which are amazing. It is better than Ocarina of Time in my opinion.

Dec 8, 2012There is a reason why this is my favorite game of all time. I had it as a kid and loved it. And I still love it today. Fun, amazing graphics, emotional, epic, and very recommended. 10/10.
-
Dec 7, 2011Greatest Game Cube title ever made. Along with Ocarina of Time the greatest game ever made for consoles. People who like The Wind Waker will also like Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS.
-
Jan 17, 2012Fantastic Legend of Zelda game, very unique with a more light hearted approach. Although the game needed a few more dungeons and some harder boss fights.
-
Dec 20, 2011This game is one of those games that I play and finish. Then after a while I play it again. Because its that good. I loved every single thing about this game! Only problem was my classmate taking it and never giving it back :( It was a special edition with the ocarina of time too!! T_T
-
Apr 6, 2013Im replaying this masterpiece at the moment. This game was my first LoZ game and its my favorite. I never grow tired of sailing over The Great Sea. The dungeons were a bit too short but that doesn't matter. Overall a great game!

Aug 10, 2012Wind Waker is a once in a lifetime kind of adventure, and is certainly in my top 5 favorite games of all time. It is a game that is timeless, because even today it trumps many games being released, not only in gameplay, but in visuals and aesthetics. Wind Waker is a rare gem that will hold it's splendor and depth for decades, provided the hardware lasts.

Jul 4, 2019For fans of exploration-based games, this chapter in the Zelda franchise is not to be missed.
-
Jul 31, 2014Much controversy still revolves around this title due to it's cutesy art style. Nonetheless, this has turned out to be an amazing title in the series. Clever dungeons, awesome art style (You know you like it), and memorable characters make it this one of the best Zelda adventures ever. 10/10 (I also reviewed the Wii U version)
-
Aug 23, 2012When I first saw this game I was like, "WHAT THEY DO TO THE GRAPHICS?". That kept me from buying WW in the first place. I then played this game at a friend's house and it was amazing. Large over-world to explore, great story and potential to speed-run. 10/10 and that's being strict in my rating.

Jan 19, 2013One of the greatest games of my childhood and to this day is the Wind Waker. Never before have I seen such a beautiful, unique world that enraptures the player with a seamless combination of wonderful gameplay, story, and aesthetics. Everything in this game exudes a timeless magic that I hope one day my children, and even you, can experience.

When one picks up the controller, the ability to step into that time and place (never more hauntingly beautiful than in this latest instalment) never loses its allure. Even the most hardened of cynics would have to admit that this title is something else entirely. It's the stuff of dreams. [JPN Import]
