A painful save system demands countless restarts and all but assures general frustration. On the whole, Bounty Hunter establishes itself as a worthy, yet flawed offering.
-
The two versions are identical in most ways, however the GC graphics are slightly better. The colours are sharper and more vibrant.
-
Nintendo PowerThere's no precise way to target your prey, so shooting a single enemy from a crowd is nearly impossible. [Feb 2003, p.153]
-
The targeting system is well executed, but the camerawork is not. In enclosed areas it can go ballistic, often pointing in a direction that obscures your enemies.
-
The main problem with Bounty Hunter is that it wont be long before youve seen everything the game has to offer and its not the sort of adventure that youre likely to want to play through more than once.
-
Even though the game's overall execution leaves something to be desired, Bounty Hunter has its good points, and the GameCube version is markedly better than the PS2 release.
-
Jango Fett is quite possibly my favorite character in the current trilogy, and I think it was an absolute genius idea to formulate a game around him... The game, on the other hand, just kind of wallows in mediocrity.
-
A flawed, boring game design that fails to capitalize on the inherent coolness of its theme and character.
-
Game InformerReleasing Bounty Hunter is tantamount to being held down while someone farts in your face. [Feb 2003, p.101]
-
Well presented, but a bit uninteresting, repetitive, and limited. Most of the game is just running and shooting at enemies with the auto-targeting, which isn't amazingly fun.
-
Entertainment WeeklyThe extra-large level maps offer vertiginous expanses to traverse, and since half the game forces you to zip from ledge to ledge, this leads to nagging depth-perception problems. [15 Nov 2002, p.143]

Jun 15, 2023A definitely under rated game which had a fantastic atmosphere. The music is also very good, special mention to the main menu music.
