The levels are well designed with bright, colourful graphics throughout, making the game seem almost like the film, and with so many personalities to talk to there's never a dull moment.
  2. Well-meaning if not masterful, this is clearly a game for children rather than older players.

With clever puzzles, lots of fun gizmos and in-game artwork that looks almost as good as between-level movie clips, the game represents the film well and provides an entertaining play experience. [Apr 2005, p.100]
  4. The sad fact is that Robots tries to draw you into a terrible game by way of a pretty package.

I played the DS version, which added little to a fairly good game, and that was the main criticism, but I simply see it as the same experience on a different platform. This is an average game that you can pick up for cheap, so if you want to play it, pick it up used. I am a bit blinded by nostalgia, but looking back on it now with my most critical eye, I can say that it does not suck. Expand
