This game really isn't that good. The gameplay is all right except that the computer can make every play while the controls are to tight for you. Using the C stick for dives in the direction of the ball can make you dive a whole different direction and while the ball is in a line drive formation you can end up sliding etc. This game has clunky controls total The graphics are not good forThis game really isn't that good. The stands are horrible. You notice the same guy sitting down every 4 seats. Not to mention the ugly backgrounds behind the stadium. The sounds are basically the announcers saying the same quotes over and over. "He needs that sinker to sink" or "He stuffed him fatter than a thanksgiving turkey." The good thing this game offers is its full season dynasty mode. Besides that, I would not recommend unless you wouldn't mind how much work was put into this game. Expand

With a revamped Dynasty mode, a new batting system, and my favorite feature, Big Play Control, MVP Baseball 2004 is the complete package. [Apr 2004, p.73]

All three titles dish out amazing gameplay, but we give the edge to MVP, with its innovative fielding and pitching interfaces. [16 Apr 2004, p.L2T 19]
  3. Solid in every department, this one will be hard to top simply for the fact that it has very few weaknesses. While other entries might feature better stat-tracking or deeper Dynasty modes, they’ll be hard-pressed to be as well-rounded as MVP.
