I was expecting your typical licenced crap but this was a very competent game, the graphics are really good although there a few textures here and there that I'm sure shouldn't have been there, the sound design is amazing and adds a lot to the already cinematic presentation of the game.

The game also has some minor boss fights, as well as a final boss fight which is very easy once you
I was expecting your typical licenced crap but this was a very competent game, the graphics are really good although there a few textures here and there that I'm sure shouldn't have been there, the sound design is amazing and adds a lot to the already cinematic presentation of the game.

The game also has some minor boss fights, as well as a final boss fight which is very easy once you know the pattern.

However, it still has some flaws. By the time you reach the middle of the campaign the game becomes a wave-based run and gun. The developers also added some QTE sequences to artificially elongate the length of the game. I'm sure these were added du to time constraints.

Mind you, this game can be beaten in about 4-5 hours. To compensate for this, the developers added "Thou Art Dead", the arcade game that appears in the movie. I think this is a nice touch.

All in all, if you want to kill an afternoon and happen to find this game for cheap, I say it's worth playing.

Monster House is good but flawed cause it ripoffs other games and uses this in this game. Not to much to say cause I explained it all. So this game is fine.

Like many movie games, it lacks the shiny coat of polish that major game productions bring to the table, but for its intended audience, Monster House rises above much of its competition to deliver a fun game that is faithful in every way to its license.
  2. Unfortunately, the entire look of the game is marred by choppy graphics.

Although it'll be over fairly quickly, there are a few bonus features and a 2D arcade game to play with, and it's sure to please a few kids as the summer holiday boredom starts to kick in.
