The heavy focus on gadgets is good fun for a little while, but there's just never that immersion that I think has become required for games in this category.
-
Cheat Code CentralThink of Mission Impossible: Operation Surma as Splinter Cell Lite.

Weekly Famitsu7 / 7 / 7 / 7 - 28 [Vol 798; 2 Apr 2004]
-
There's no multiplayer action and with a fairly short playing time, this is much more suited to a rental.
-
Not a bad game. Its just hard to be impressed by a nice looking spy game with an uninteresting story and dumb A.I.
-
Nintendo PowerLong levels immerse you in the adventure, though the non-intuitive puzzles can take you right out of it again. [June 2004, p.119]
-
GMR MagazineSurma's camera is a hateful creation, demanding more attention than a sugar-buzzed toddler and never showing you what you need to see, including anyone who might be shooting holes in your stomach. [Feb 2004, p.86]
