Jul 23, 2019For me? Simply the best game ever created. its a shame nintendo dont bring a switch version.
-
Jun 25, 2019A game whit an incredibly atmosphere and a little bit creepy ambientation, this New game from samus results in a turnover from the Nintendo games, in less words a masterpiece
-
Mar 9, 2019This is certainly one of the best games I've ever played. I didn't play it when it came out and only played it recently. I think it is the second best game on the GameCube (second only to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker). My only complaint, and it is a small one, is that I thought Samus moved a little too slowly.
-
Mar 9, 2019I really like Metroid Prime. The graphics and design are excellent, the controls and gameplay are awesome, the soundtrack is very good, and the boss battles and sub-boss battles are classic. Even though Metroid Prime is a first-person shooter, it still have the adventure elements that is associated with the Metroid series

Oct 30, 2018Toda la magia de super metroid ejecutada magistralmente en 3D. Un juego imprescindible. La segunda y tercera entrega me parecen mas flojas. Eso si, super metroid sigue siendo el mejor de la saga
-
Sep 18, 2018It's not a bad game, although personally I've never really liked the Metroid.
-
Jul 8, 2018A great game that can get on your nerves because of the awful, awful control and plataforming
-
May 10, 2018one of the most realised and complete worlds in any game, ever. Outstanding graphics, music, gameplay and atmosphere
-
Apr 20, 2018Congratulations to Retro Studios for this atmospheric masterpiece. Phenomenal combination of environment-music.
Some bosses were a bit hard but this can be forgiven. -

Jan 18, 201895/100 one of the better games I've played. The atmosphere in this game is phenomenal. Even without twin stick controls for a shooter (more of an exploration game) it holds up well in the control scheme. I had one problem with a portion of the game toward the end, but still an amazing experience. Glad I jumped on this one and decided to it. A great game hidden in my backlog.
-
Nov 8, 2017In 2017, the game is still spectacular, the mechanics, the feeling of being alone on a planet to explore, music combined with the environment recreates one of the most invasive feelings of not knowing what to do. The small details of development make the game one of the masterpieces of video games. Congratulations to Retro Studios for creating this masterpiece.
-
Nov 7, 2017After 15 years since release graphics, music are stunning like they were, and great atmosphere and feel of loneliness are still there to amaze you. But game had some irritaiting stuff in it, like enemies that respawn over and over, when you are going form room to room and back and again, because game can be really confusing too. Also the post game quest is really nothing I needed in my life.

Aug 10, 2017Begun my play through for a few hours, and I was really impressed. The visuals were stunning for a game made in 2002, and the core exploration, item collection and great boss battles were still there in a 3D environment with 60 FPS. The only let down is the controls, you are gonna need to get used to them for a bit.
Overall - 96/100 -

May 11, 2017This was one hell of a debut for Retro Studios, especially with the game's troubled development. It's amazing that it still turned out to be one kickass game--the music, the lonely atmosphere, the fun combat, the still stellar graphics. Truly timeless.
-
-
Mar 13, 2017For far this is the best Metroid game in 3D, its a full world with creatures and the music of each enviroment is the best, there is a lot of map to explore
-
Mar 6, 2017This and Smash Bros Melee are the best games on Game Cube, and probably the two games that will be remembered in 2050 and so on. Sadly, Prime 2 Echoes didn't make a fine sequel.

Mar 2, 2017Yeah this game is pretty bad. like if you were too look up a good game in the dictionary it would have a picture of literally any other game. still better than the last of us and ocarina of time tho.
-
Jan 30, 2017Still cannot understand how the graphics were so good for this game. Besides that, it is my favorite Metroid game besides Super Metroid, and has very unique game-play, enemies, and soundtrack.
-
Jan 27, 2017My favorite video game. A perfect artwork that perfectly offers what you are looking for. This saga is underestimated by many people, and does not get the success it deserves. A real shame. Hopefully a game of this generation will be half as good as this game is.
-
Jan 3, 2017Every aspect of the game is incredible. Graphics, soundtrack, gameplay is FAIRLY UNIQUE(I fail to see any other game combining adventuring and exploration in first person) and the story is pretty sci-fi. It's just delicious to play that game!
-
Nov 24, 2016Simply put, the best FPS of all time: the isolation was great as are the areas (especially Phendrana's Drifts), the bosses were fun, the puzzle were smart. The only issues I have are the scanning and the backtracking

May 15, 2016One of the best game on Gamecube and best Metroid Game . One of the best graphics on Gamecube and this shooter is very good . Good storyline and amazing gameplay . Player must play for Samus Aran . Samus Aran - Beatiful and strong girl . This game is good . 8/10 .
-
Apr 14, 2016This is, hands down, the best Metroid Prime installment in the Metroid Prime trilogy and the best overall in the Metroid franchise without any doubts. If you don't own a GameCube and own a Wii, you can also play this in the Metroid Prime Trilogy which that game will be affected by scores from games like this and its sequels.

Nov 12, 2015This game is a PRIME example for a Metroid game, ha ha see what I did there? From the derilect Space Pirate frigate to the Impact Crater, it has you suspenseful for the next event. The bosses are challenging and the exploration isn't too tedious. It keeps you waiting for the next power-up to progress.

Jun 23, 2015Metroid Prime is a game that makes you rethink why you play games. I would say its the best game for the Gamecube and the best game from that Era. The immersive environment and gameplay make it one of my favorite games of all time.
This game will keep you curious with its unique puzzles and mechanics. From the time you leave your ship to when the credits play, this game is amazing. -
Jun 1, 2015This game has aged so well. The graphics today are still respectable. The gameplay is fluid and innovative, after a new transition from a platformer to a 3d game.
-
May 3, 2015Metroid Prime es un grandisimo juego que recomiendo a todo el mundo. Variedad, graficos muy buenos, controles, mecanicas, es perfecto. 60 fps solidos y una experiencia inolvidable.
-
Apr 4, 2015This isn't a groundbreaking game, its a new groundbreaking genre...
Game play: Unique twist of shooter, platforming, and basic hacking mechanics(This includes hours of exploration)
Graphics: Pays attention to detail like no other video game in history
Story: Not telling ya'll(Scan the game's Chozo Lore) -
Mar 25, 2015I love this game.It is one of the best of all time.Graphics are awesome (for gamecube) and the gameplay works great. There is a lot backtracking and people may find it difficult but there are always hints that help. This is what a masterpiece is.Not many bugs or glitches. The scan explains everything and it is fun with it's incredible soundtrack.I recommend this game to anyone who owns a gamecube.
-
Mar 11, 2015This game completely destroys overrated garbage like Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and Halo. Heck, the entire PS2 libray has nothing on this game. Gaming doesn't get much better than this!
-
Feb 27, 2015Pros:
+Environments are beautifully detailed and varied
+Tons of items to collect, tons of information to find, and tons of secret areas!
+Gameplay is phenomenal and never wears out its welcome
+Music is amazing, and sound effects are great, too.
Cons:
-Tons of backtracking
-Fairly easy once you start getting the first few energy tank/missile upgrades
-No Miiverse community -

Jan 11, 2015The graphics are frankly AMAZING for a 2002 title and the controls and gameplay are pretty smooth and easy to learn as well. The world and it's enemies are unique and well designed and the first person HUD gameplay fits perfectly. This game is fun and well worth buying. Lots of exploring, Secrets to find and puzzles to solve.

Nov 18, 2014Probably the best game ever made for Gamecube, Metroid Prime is an almost flawless masterpiece. Impressive graphics (only second to Prime 2), epic soundtrack and clever gameplay.

This game means for me in GC the same as Ocarina in N64, being the first really great game on the cube. I spent hours in the single play missions, collecting and analyzing everything i can. Nice touch of art and a fresh air with its FPS/adventure/platform mix. -

Feb 7, 2014Possibly my favourite GameCube game. Great action and exploration with a decent amount of challenge, tension and rewarding gameplay. The thinking man's shooter...
-
Feb 2, 2014One of the most brilliant games for the Game Cube.
I myself have played it on the Wii and thought it was awesome.
Compared with today's games clearly outdated but with the games damliger time simply unmatched. -
Jan 6, 2014The best game of the year 2002 for me.
The best single player campaign ever made for a FPS.
The best game on the Gamecube.
And one of the best example of a video game franchise reinvented! -
Dec 18, 2013People arguing this game alongside Halo are probably the same people who brag about their COD kills; bigots with no appreciation for decent single player game. I'm writing this as anticipation for Halo 5 is building, and all I can say is that Samus would kick Master Chief right in the frag grenades.
-
Dec 16, 2013I'm totally neutral towards this game. It has a nice story line and good gameplay. I just can't stand the constant backtracking. Some may not be bothered by it, but I personally hated it. I recommend trying it out, but will not guarantee satisfaction.
-
Dec 12, 2013I've never been lucky enough to play the first Metroid games, so this is my first. I was thoroughly shocked at how great it is! Plus it is soo smooth.
-
Nov 28, 2013Absolutely fantastic. Hours upon hours of enjoyment, and incredible gameplay. This is Metroid at its best (which is pretty darn good). Anyone who loves shooters should look no further.

Nov 3, 2013Amazing game! The opening cinematic just sets the tone for the whole game, visually stunning an unbeatable story that not just intrigues you and makes you want to go the extra mile by scanning objects so you can dig deeper into the universe of Metroid. If you have a GameCube, BUY THIS GAME! It's truly an amazing game. 10/10.

Sep 17, 2013Flawless game, perfect controls, level design, pacing, concept and immersion. one of the best games ever made, sadly not so many people had a game cube to play it when released.

Jun 11, 2013Amazing, absolutely amazing. for anyone that ever knocked the gamecube with or without trying it, this game will set you straight. It is an experience unlike anything else that was available at the time. The depth of this game was outstanding, was always entertained even when literally breaking my controller after multiple deaths to the final boss.
-
May 27, 2013Arguably, the best gamecube game ever. The graphics were ahead of their time and could compete with todays standards. The landscapes are stunning and the adventurous gameplay keeps you coming back for more. The bosses are challenging yet not impossible. The worst part of the game is when its over

Mar 25, 2013Metroid Prime has a atmosphere like no other. It made me feel the isolation acutely, yet I enjoyed everyone one of it. The puzzles are great, and require observation, exploration, and adaptation. The art in the game is stellar, the controls are good, just a little clunky feeling in 2013, and the music is phenomenal. 10/10
-
Mar 6, 2013A minimalist, yet enthralling backstory is spread about surprisingly slick graphics, intense action sequences, and excellent boss battles. Metroid Prime takes the best out of the Metroid series, and puts a whole new dimensional spin on it.
-
Feb 1, 2013A fantastic transition from 2D to 3D for a timeless Nintendo classic. Having played this game many times I feel as if I have actually been to Tallon IV, waded through the flora and fought the creatures from inside the Power Suit; for a brief moment I was Samus and if I ever wish to return I know where to find her.

Dec 5, 2012I absolutely LOVE this game. I picked it up after watching by big brother play it when I was young. I played it, beat it, and to this day I still come back to play more. This is by far my favorite metroid game and is in my opinion one of the best games of all time. Do not pass up a chance to play this incredible game.

Oct 16, 2012One of the best games on Gamecube. Metroid Prime is not really a FPS, since you can lock enemies, but it doesn't matter. There is a full world to explore, with a good mix shooting, plaforming and puzzle solving. Every equipement you find will make you more powerful, giving a great feeling. Story is delivered through reading computers which can be boring at times though.

Apr 23, 2012I really love this game. There's an intense atmosphere, the graphics is one of the best in Gamecube, the gameplay is awesome and the soundtrack... is amazing. The all planet Tallon IV is huge, with good designs and the boss are the biggest i ever seen in a metroid game.
-
Mar 15, 2012Sublime, simply an amazing game. You feel entrenched within a planet, and can learn about all aspects of it including life and flora. The music is amazing, and the atmosphere is fantastic.
A pinnacle. If you own a GAmecube or Wii, you must play this. -

It oozes with so much addictiveness that the storyline plays second fiddle and reminds you of a time when gameplay was an integral part of gaming. Put simply, this is one of the best games I have played in a long, long time. [Grade = A+]
