Although the controls are responsive, theyre far from easy to learn (even harder to master but less so if you've spent time with the other versions), especially if youre just getting into the pool of extreme sports.
-
I still think, however, that this would have been more fun, and no less replayable, if Rainbow had dialed down the difficulty a little bit.
-
The game's shallow goal design keeps it from achieving the same level of addictiveness as competing games like "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3" and "Aggressive Inline."
-
Thanks to a poorly constructed objective and progression system in the career mode, many players will find themselves giving up too soon.
-
The game feels more "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX v1.5" than anything else, giving you more of what you loved in the original and tacking on some minor, unnecessary extras.
-
The worst part of the sound, though, is the soundtrack.
-
The graphics are fine and the gameplay is adequate, but mundane level objectives and a lack of refinement keep it buried in the middle of the extreme sports pack.
