Smooth movement, great music and a captivating story line will keep Bond fans coming back for more. [Jan 2003, p.170]
  2. If you like Bond, first-person shooters, or just a bit of action, you should definitely check this one out.
  3. Stealing the best gadgets and characters from the movies, NightFire lets you decide how to topple the requisite megalomanical villain: Use stealth and gizmos (like Eurobabe-revealing x-ray specs—thanks, Q!) or go in guns blazing.
  4. Does a great job bringing in the Bond-spy factor into the first-person shooter genre, and is a fun, although short, game.
  5. 79
It does a decent job of holding its own against other Bond games from the past.
  6. Those purely looking for a first-person shooter won't find that NightFire is the best choice around, but as a Bond game, NightFire successfully re-creates the style, presentation, and action of its source material.

It's bad enough that you have to sit there and watch as Bond does his thing, but what's really frustrating is that these [cinematic] sequences (parachuting off a skyscraper, somersaulting to avoid gunfire) illustrate precisely the kind of actions that you should be able to control. [22 Nov 2002, p.84]

This is still one of the best examples of an excellent game. Simple but Genius. The Game makes you feel like James Bond from the very firstThis is still one of the best examples of an excellent game. Simple but Genius. The Game makes you feel like James Bond from the very first second. The level design is perfect for an agent game. The Music always gives you the needed kick during the fight scenes and a calming certainty that you are safe and a master sneeker in the sneek-Scenes. The core story of the game is heard in every soundtrack in every level. The Gameplay it self could not be better. Because of the slightly difficult aiming it is always a challenge to shoot precisely. The manner in wich the bond moments function is astonishing and always gives you a push if you accomplish one. Just makes you feel like James Bond. The length is more than okay.

The Multiplayer gave me a childhood of intense split screen fights wich almost always ended in 4 persons shooting at each other with guided Missiles or throwing hats from one end of the map to the other.

Tank you Electronic Arts for this masterpiece! I still play this game until today with a bright smile across my face!
