Nintendo PowerAn isometric adventure mixes with classic Tron gameplay for loads of retro-futuristic fun. [Nov 2004, p.131]
-
The game may not be on as grand a scale as the PS or Xbox version, but the GBA version offers a solid package for a portable title.
-
Game InformerSeveral things work as they should, but much of the game is chock full of frustration, and the whole thing ends up feeling like a string of tired minigames. [Nov 2004, p.170]
-
A lackluster game with too many frustrations for such little fun. The short length and lack of real replay value make it not worth picking up.
-
It's rare that a game's bonus features are more compelling than its main play mode, but that's definitely the case with the GBA version of Tron 2.0: Killer App.
-
If "Tron 3.0" builds on this foundation, adding more variety and incorporating more of the innovative old-school gameplay that the franchise has inspired over the years, it has the potential to become an instant retro classic.
-
netjakUntil game companies stop using the GBA as their platform for "rough draft" games like this, stop buying them. Don't waste your cash on what amounts to a bad version coasting on the success of another, much higher quality game.
-
AceGamezDespite its good points, Tron 2.0 Killer App is effectively an incohesive mix of strong mini-games, held together by some suspect isometric combat platform levels.
-
Cheat Code CentralThe fact that the GBA can't even come close to replicating the original Tron arcade mini-games of the 80s is a major disappointment. One that I'm having a lot of trouble getting over.
